This can't be considered 'perfect' if Pikachu keeps using his shield when, if he realized the situation, he would realize would get him killed. There's more to perfect play than perfect reactions.

Perfect vs perfect doesn't make sense really because if both were perfect their moves would collide repeatedly or they'd never hit eachother. That being said, to respond to your description, no DI or DI away is more realistic than DIing into combos repeatedly. Great video all the same

TAS, or Tool-Assisted Speedplay, allows you to play a game frame-by-frame. You also have the option to use savestates to play the game to your preference or to out-predict a CPU player. Find out more here: tasvideos.org/WelcomeToTASVideos.html I hope this can clarify things. :/

If you play on Emulators, then you'll find that a select few have the ability to use Savestates and Frame-by-frame play, as well as tool to check the memory of the emulated ROM. It's a program built into the Emulators. Check this link to find out more about the emulators that TAS players use: tasvideos.org/EmulatorResources.html Hope this clarifies things.

@sensoryplus81039 жыл бұрын
Mr Owl both of you are correct, the players were executing options so perfect a became a thing of port priority. However once they initiated a combo with the first hit their DI was aimed at moving towards the opponent so that they can continue the combo, which is not smart in the slightest but looks really cool.
@RedHairdo9 жыл бұрын
+Sensory Plus "DI was aimed at moving towards the opponent so that they can continue the combo, which is not smart in the slightest but looks really cool." Exactly, they were _terrible_ choices with _perfect_ execution. Meaning they were _perfectly terrible_ as I said earlier, precisely so that it "looks really cool", as you said.

@TheFlameKeeper99 yep. It is an old joke based on the idea that West coast played for fun so they DI'd to make it so combos worked better and EC was srs bsns and DI'd everything (such as how the WC originally had an items ruleset.) Other "forms" of DI Mid-west DI: DI'ing heavily but dying anyway. Massive (insert here) DI: DI'ing beyond normal means via a crouch cancel. Amsah DI/Amsah Tech: DI'ing a move (such as Falco's d-smash) down to make it so it has no knockback.
