Hi, I see what you mean although it does work quite well. It would be good to have the top clamping piece adjustable forwards and backwards for different thicknesses on a future design. Hope you enjoyed watching. 🙂👍

Two more bolts in the front to stop that flexing while bending

Hi Mike, you are absolutely correct. It was an obvious flaw in my design and something I plan on correcting. I plan to weld on a couple of small L shaped pieces of flat bar to catch the to existing bolts, ie I would slide the whole bender assembly over the edge of the bench and drop in the two bolts. Probably just use them as pins wouldn’t need to tighten them up. I actually nearly did this as I built it, not sure why I didn’t, trying to save time I guess. 😏 Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed it. 🙂👍

Nice to see a video of tool making where the welder knows how to use a stick welder correctly and not this stupid dab method.

Thank you I’m glad you appreciate it. Must say I’m puzzled with this dap welding, it’s fine if your maybe doing a vertical weld or welding something really thin. Welding is 10% theory and 90% practice (that’s all they have to do, although they do need a tiny bit of aptitude) What is also annoying is that they often get millions of views 😲🙂.
