Great tutorial. I’m using a lot of these techniques too. However, one thing I might be doing wrong-I start the sub or rumble on the offbeat. Should I be starting it earlier and blending it with the tail of the kick? Cheers

Not necessarily but still I'd phase align them even if I sidechain offbeat.

Hey brother . I have a question . I downloaded the sub ninja and my kick and bass are starting from the 1/16 point . Why this happens? Also I think this happens when I have layered bass in a group , and this group goes to a sec group (kick and bass together ) in which I have my sub ninja or any visualiser to see the phase . Keep doing your thing you help us a lot

Top bass doesn't matter. You gotta align the sub only.

So do I actually even need sub bass if the kick is covering the low end? Most of the time I always throw sub bass and heavily sidechain it to the kick and I also put higher bass.

Kick can't cover the low end by itself. If you are talking about the tonal kicks they are okay. Because that kind of samples contains a punch kick and a tonal bass tail.
