The absolutely most overpowered development tree in the game is rushing 'better deals'. You literally magically turns trees into every single resource you could ever need for basically no cost at all. Just make planks, then shields, wooden parts and bows to make infinite money. That really needs to be nerfed or changed in the future or every other element of the game becomes kind of pointless.

Coal + Deep mining yielded a pretty similar result. It probably cost more wealth than better deal, but I eventually gave up on farming completely because sending my farmers to mine and chop coal produced more goods through trade and far, far more income per worker.

I dont get people who pick plowing or any other settlemenr point first. Rushing 2 trade points asap pretty much sets you up perfectly for a comfortable game. This could be different in the hard difficulty

It is necessary in the hard difficulty, you can never supply all the needs of tier 2 and 3 plots if you dont instantly start trading for all those needed items.

Second play through this time doing this route, wow having money is nice.. this is nice.. What third point do you pick ? after the 2 initial trade points. Also how do you get to 100%?? I am trading nicely but just sitting around 60-70% with plenty of food..

To get to 100% you need food and clothing variety.

Also remember that if you build out where your artisans will live, build the dwelling with the extra house. You will make tons of items with 2-4 families working on it

Rush to level 2,Unlock Better Deals Import Clay, Build Clay Furnace, Sell rooftiles. Got money? Buy sheep, sell woll, rooftiles, lambs. Buy grain, sell flour, bread. Import Firewood, planks, stones. They are dirt cheap. Put your man on storages, granaries, and trading posts instead. Import barley, sell malt, have 2-3 malthouse, build 3-4 breweries, sell excess malt and ale. With high approval percent, set 3-5% tax and 1-5% tithe. Dont rush to defeat bandid, let baron do his thing, build strong army by importing military equipments including helmets and gambersons. Thank me later
