This is the original version of the classic "Perfect Peace" by Keith Pringle. It was released in 1981 and is written by Min. Rudolph Stanfield of Detroit, Michigan. The only covers I know of is done by the late Rev. James Cleveland and Marvin Sapp.

Praise God this song was produced by My Friend, Brother and Mentor Min Thomas A Whitfield who at that tome did not know the song however he call me and I was living in Flint Michigan and ask to come and lay the music tracks along with Kern Brantley on Bass and the rest is history. This original version of this song came out 1981. I was 9 years old. I am now 51 years old. I had no comprehension of these words way back then. But when I look back over all of the trials and rough times in my life, I can say with absolute confidence that GOD IS THE KEEPER OF MY SOUL! This is my all time Keith Pringle favorite! This song blesses me so that everytime I am feeling alone or discourage in any way, I play this song. I just wish I had the entire album that this song is on. My birthday is the 26th of this month, the day after Christmas. If I could have one special gift, it would be this album. Oh man...........I've been looking for the original version of this song forever, and have finally found it (Duh, don't know why I didn't think of searching KZbin in the first place. Haha). There is NOTHING like the original version of this song. I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. A choir from Detroit came to Chicago and they sung this song. And the BLEW.....MY.....LITTLE........TEENAGER.....M I N D!!!!! LOL!!! For a young musician, that was like a religious experience (literally and figuratively....haha). To this day I've not heard a choir as awesome as this choir was. Wish I knew what church they were from. This young guy was just wailing on the organ....then he got off the organ and sung Perfect Peace. And he SANG!!!! He certainly did the song justice. But with that said, there's still nothing like this original version with Keith. Powerful, beautiful. I really miss this gospel. Nowadays, gospel music is all about show. Horns and dance steps and vocal acrobats galore. They don't bring out any emotions like a song like this does to me. Oh, the good old days.
