hey mate, good vid! Keep them coming! Dont worry about Diff breathers. been 4wding for 40 years and never had them. Never once had a diff issue. snorkel, is good but only for water crossings! so get that first. TJM, Iron man and Op Lock are all options if ARB wont help you out. it's all just plastic ! Have fun and keep doing what you love!

Thanks Todd! Great advice on the diff breathers. I always think “How did grandpa do it all those years ago without all these accessories?”. I will go snorkel next. Thanks for watching and I hope you have subscribed. I would love to have you as a staple in the north Oz community. Your advice is appreciated 👍

Great job. I just finished my false floor today for my 150. Ended up buying acoustic foam and packing / sticking that under the carpeted ply wood with 7 bolts fixing it to the vehicle. Came up really nice. Very quiet again although I must admit I could (just barely) hear fuel sloshing around in the rear tank with a mostly full tank. No fridge slides yet but likely down the track. Also check out Dobinsons IMS adjustable shocks and springs. Not the remote res ones.

I will check out the dobinsons, thanks for the suggestion. Did you end up using the threaded bolt I recommended or did you find something else that works? Acoustic foam is smart. I might have to redo mine now haha

@@NorthOz For the rear I used the factory bolt holes like you did but went to Repco and bought longer bolts. Also, used a spade bit to recess the bolt heads so the floor is flat. As for bolting down the floor towards the seat, there is a factory rail which sits higher than the rest of the floor and had some pre existing holes. I used a rivvet nut tool to insert rivnuts into those holes to give me a threaded mounting point for some M6 bolts. Also, I used some ply pieces underneath my floor so the floor bears the weight down on those (no flex). I can send you a couple photos if you want. Re the foam, I think it made a decent difference. Also stops rattles. Got it from carbuilders if you google them.

Sounds good. What reference bolt was it? I had troubles finding the right one. Mine are holding up but the more info I have the better

I’ve removed my 3rd row seats and will fit slimline batteries, charger etc in the space with false floor at original level, leaving the rear trim in place. Will only have half height drawer under the fridge

Great idea. I’m making another set of drawers and 2 slim 100ah batteries would fit perfectly there with a 3/4 drawer. You wouldn’t even know they are there. Thanks for watching and subscribing 😊

What battery box is that? And is it lithium and agm compatible? Good setup also working on my 150 and this was some good learnings. Thanks
@NorthOz2 жыл бұрын
It is a standard one from Autobarn from memory. They will work with any type of battery 😊 All of the companies like bcf, anaconda, super cheap, repco all sell the same battery box. Just slightly different and make sure it has the sockets you want on it as that can differ. Make sure you check out my truck solar build I did. I have a huge amount of information about 12v setups in those videos. If you haven’t already, subscribing is appreciated 😊

Hey mate, cool stuff. What size battery are you running to power the fridge & is it agm or lithium? Thanks !
@NorthOz2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate! It is a 100 amp hour budget lithium battery. I made a video on it a couple of months ago. If you check my video on “fixing my drawer system” I show you how I mounted it too 👍 Cheers for subscribing too 😊
