No, a wifi app will not need or look for an Internet connection, Please correct your incorrect information, many fridges use wifi and work perfectly well.

Wiring an Andersen to the accessory plug you cut off is a brilliant idea

Excellent highly informative video Trev! Thanks again for getting me out of trouble up in Omeo the other day, fridge & freezer are working like a dream now :) P.S. Like your idea of putting the anderson plug on cig lighter to carry as a backup power source.

Nice tech video Trev, im going to link this to my videos about this product..... Personal opinion on this fridge is that it seems super efficient and is really nicely made... I love the lid latch on these, so much better than the Old Waeco CF range and still better than the CFX range, you know its shut... and latched.... no question :)

Thanks Richard, I agree. I think they have put a lot of thought into the design of these units. :)

Hi Trev, Do you know if I need to unplug my 12dc before I plug in 240v. Does it automatically switch to 240v internally?
@DirtRoad4x46 ай бұрын
Hey Steve, its automatic, it will always default to 240v Thanks for watching :)

Thanks for that. Is it something you have done with yours? I emailed the service people at myCOOLMAN after getting in touch with you and got this reply. Thank you for your inquiry. Please disconnect the 12VDC before connecting the 240VAC. It will not damage the fridge if you leave them both by accident but long term we do not advise this. What do you make of that?

@goxvox Interesting, I'll do a little more research as it does not sound right. I also worked for Waeco/Dometic for 10 years. You could always leave both leads in. E.g, the generator runs out of fuel, and it will go back to 12v. I go overseas tomorrow, i may not get back before I leave.

My new unit is tripping the low power cut off (E1), getting 13.05v to the fridge end of the cable. But trips the E1 Code with in seconds. Both on the factoy points and on my dual battery. Any ideas? Using 6G wire to the back of the car. - Thanks

Hey Oscar, sounds like your setup is ok. E1 is definitely low voltage. This can occur when the wiring suppling power to the fridge is to small and generally only happens when the fridge goes into its duty cycle. I would give mycoolman a call their service guys are really good. 1300 072018

@@DirtRoad4x4 Thanks for the reply, they are currently working with me on this, looks like the temps are to high. Also have been advise you can test the voltage at the other 12v connector to confirm voltage after the fridge.
