@@across_the_bridge so if your steering servo was ever to let go or break, you can buy just a simple replacement. But If you want to upgrade the electronics and make it a brushless system, you would also need to change the steering servo to a standard 3 wire servo. You won’t be able to use the original servo with upgraded electronics. There is no 5 wire to 3 wire conversions that I’ve seen. Hope this helps. 👍🏼🚗

The oil filled shocks is an absolute game changer for this, you will think you have a completely different RC!

Agreed. I made mine brushless, running 3s. Ended up upgrading full drivetrain to metal, due to too much power 😅

@@Graze.leegz26 you can just get a lipo 2s battery to suit. Just measure the battery box and then your good to go. Also the 1500 zee power 3S battery fits well too. 👍🏼🚗

Sweet man🤘 They can take a absolute hammering in stock form but yes definitely try soft foam filled wheels and oil shocks and you'll have a completely different feeling car👌

is this car supposed to be backed by hpi? does it have the same components and differentials and dogbones as the redcat volcano 16 and Hbx 16889? greetings friends! (the control is very similar to that of these 2 mentioned models)

I just used either a 2200mah 2s lipo, and for 3s , I used a zeepower 1500mah. They were both a tight fit due to the upgraded motor and Esc. The esc was too big to fit in the original spot.

Thanks for response. Just ordered the Stryder based on reviews for my 7yo and really me. However already thinking I shouldve opted for the FTX Tracer brushless. What do you think? I opened pandoras box with your video of the brushless Stryder flying through the air! 😂

@@Sirwafflehead ha ha I think you’ll be driving it more than you’ll. . But overall, I think you made a great choice it’s always a good thing to start brushed. It doesn’t really matter it would be ideal for your kid because he can practice on it a lot it won’t go that fast and they’ll be less breakages. I only upgraded mine to brushless because that’s what I love to do anything that’s brushed I go straight to brushless straightaway. Thanks for watching and for the support.👍🏼🚗

As far as I know it’s been running really really well. Got told from a friend who knows more about these cars that they can handle 3S. Even though the battery are used didn’t quite fit it’s still ran great. 👍🏼🚗
