PERFECT Result After Adenium Pruning!

Providing a quick update about my Adenium that I have pruned.
Why to prune?
We can prune when the branches become leggy, something like this. By pruning, we can force our plants to produce more branches. More branches means more flower.
But of course you don't have to prune if your plant is already looking much fuller as shown in the video!

I've got mine since December 2023, and it's still flowering. We are currently in winter (temperature between 10 to 25 degrees Celsius). Which season is best to prune? It's actually becoming leggy... 😊😊. I've heard that the plant should be lifted too (root lifting without taking it out of the soil to improve thickness) 🤔

That's great to here...great work! It's getting leggy as you said, it's winter there. Please prune at the end of Winter. For example, Feb end is the winter end here in my place and we can prune at the end of Feb-March and this is the best time. Again, agree with you. It's better to lift them 1/2 to 1 inches every year. This way, Caudex (they are the roots actually) get a chance to grow more. As a result, we can get a bigger Caudex. All the best!

Can I prune it in this month? (June, 2024)

We can..I am not sure about your place..but here in my place (Guwahati, Assam), they don't bloom well from June-August because of too much rainfall and extreme hot weather. So, if I missed pruning them in Feb-March, I still do in May-June. But in your place, if they flower well during this time, it's going to take some more days to bloom again. They are slow growing plant and so this happens!

Do it in summer days but before pruning try to re-pot the plant in the starting month of summer, repotting helps the plant to grow thick Codex, after one month of repotting you can do pruning. Repotting and pruning should be done in summer only, it's a desert plant right..
