Aberhonddu (Ah - ber - hon - thee) is the Welsh name for Brecon. It's a good tip to remember that signs in Wales are usually in both Welsh and English, unless there is no English name. You'll see signs for Cardiff including Caerdydd, Swansea including Abertawe, etc. but Bangor is Bangor in both languages.

Been here. Third one, sign for Presteigne gave it away, I live not too far from there, on the English side of the border. Fourth one, saw those hills and said "Brecons", nailed it. Of course, great video again... But please do something about that mains hum, if only a software de-noise filter, though hardware solutions are preferable of course. With all the pauses in the speech, this gets hard to listen to through good headphones. /edit: @3:48 it suddenly disappears. Was it just an audio input channel with no cable connected that was still turned on? Phew, what a relief \o/ /edit 2: and then @4:00 it comes back in at full blast. Did you re-record that piece of audio separately or something? Whatever that was, do more of it, as it is MUCH better without the humming/buzzing :) I can't do this, I'm skipping to the end. /last edit: in the outro, the buzz is gone again \o/

You should start using a Wacom Tablet, just a Intuos S makes the mouse movements so much smoother.. You can just constantly pan and look around, makes the viewing experience that much better.

I was born and raised in Wales and Welsh is my first language, it was quite essy to get a perfect score. I knew exactly where everywhere was as soon as they popped up :)

I instantly recognised the first area because that’s where we came down right after climbing Snowdon which took about 6 hours.

Geo, guessing that a new video for the Straight Across Wales series comes out weekly? I fucking love that series and cannot wait for the next one, hoping you do more stuff similar to it!

That farm is Gallt-y-bere and it's in Ceredigion, It's about 50 miles away from the Mission across Wales route.

28:52 -- Troedyrhiw (pron. troyd-uh-HRI-oo) means "foot of the hill", BTW. Doesn't help as far as the game is concerned, I know. But I thought that little piece of "useless info" might be of interest all the same 🙂

I've just returned from a trip around the UK, with the first stop being northern wales, and then the second part when you reached "Bryn Celli Ddu" I'm like "THAT'S A PLACE I'VE BEEN TO I KNOW WHERE THAT IS!" also if I'm not mistaken, "Plas Newydd" means "new place", but after checking my dictionary I was close, it's "new mansion", and that also sounded familiar.

What the everliving fuck, that first location you got I recognised instantly from my holiday in Wales 7 years back. I had an amazing hike around there on paths with loads of slate on them, had much better weather than on the streetview photos though!
