Perfect Summer fly fishing in England

Hello all, here’s another dry fly fishing video for you!
In this video myself and Joel explore a small river in northern England catching wild brown trout off the top. A truly beautiful little spot with plenty of rising trout to go at.

Whoooa! Orange shorts n wellies??? Haha 😂 I know this place very well! 5 mins walk from my home! Thanks for Not mentioning the name of this river. It's very rare to blank here, i tend to take it too much for granted. Great dangling lads! Like you Joel, im very frustrated that wellies aren't made 6" higher😂👍

I take the place for granted, I found it amusing just how blown away Joel was when I took him! But it surely is a gem. Getting a sea trout from there is a totally different matter however 🤣

My gosh this is so refreshing to not see lots of massive fish being caught as this is just like a river I fish and the size of fish are similar. Well actually our river is somewhat less populated than our river but the overgrown sections and difficulty is on par. So glad I found your channel, as it summarises the reality of fly-fishing the majority of rivers.

Small trout, especially the parr, are not the most accurate when it comes to taking flies from the surface they often miss as they come up too fast. It makes for fun and frustration in equal measures.

Nice to hear someone else say this as that’s what I’ve always thought! Do tend to miss a lot of bites with those smaller fish, like you say though makes for a lot of fun haha! All the best mate, Niall
