Beautiful location and life ! BTW zinnias blooms like to be cut and you will get even more. I love growing them because they are so bright cheerful and easy. I cut stems with one bloom on them and fill a vase almost every morning . The next morning there are more blooming out int he garden!

Yes, Australia is one of the few countries where we cannot order Marloes’ book. Amazon UK shipping to Australia is crazy expensive.

I have looked into many options including Barns & Noble. Things aren’t as easy as they seem when it comes to self publishing and each provider has its pros and cons. I decided to go with Amazon as it seemed the best fit at the time. Also in terms of managing the sales and admin I decided to publish with only one. I am sincerely sorry the book isn’t easily available in Australia and New Zealand (which I didn’t realize upfront) as they don’t have a local printer for hardcover books. I am hoping both Amazon and the other providers evolve over time in terms of the options and quality of their books and services for when I publish a next book.

Another recipe for a natural weed killer is to add dish soap and liquid arthritis to vinegar and salt. But I found this with regular strength vinegar doesn't do much. My dad suggested 30% strength vinegar so hopefully that works better.

Hi!!! I love this video because I recently bought a farm with the dream of living just like that; however, I do find it difficult to fulfill this dream. One of the reasons of my frustration are the bunch of cats I inherited from the previous owners and the neighborhood. Do you have an advice on how to deal with this situation? Thank you!!!

How exciting you are starting a new life! Well… if the cats have been in and around the house for a long time they see it as their home. They are part of living in the countryside I guess. We found our cat in the street and she followed us home so we adopted her. I don’t know in which way “your” cats are causing you any inconveniences? They are very useful keeping rodents away. Just make sure you don’t feed them, but I think you’re already not doing that, as cats will return to where they get their food. If the previous owners and neighbors did, they probably won’t go away. Or you would need to bring them to a shelter but quite frankly that could really not be in their best interest. Can you try to see them as companions and helpers in keeping mice etc out? I don’t know where your farm is? I know my American uncle and aunt have cats because they eat the mice and so there aren’t many mice left for the snakes so it keeps their place safe against snakes. Everything in nature has a function and if well balanced, it’s better to honor that in my humble opinion.

France had that problem too and still has in some areas. But in the past 5 years people are coming back to the countryside and fast internet makes it easier for people to work from home!
