Beautiful location and life ! BTW zinnias blooms like to be cut and you will get even more. I love growing them because they are so bright cheerful and easy. I cut stems with one bloom on them and fill a vase almost every morning . The next morning there are more blooming out int he garden!

Another recipe for a natural weed killer is to add dish soap and liquid arthritis to vinegar and salt. But I found this with regular strength vinegar doesn't do much. My dad suggested 30% strength vinegar so hopefully that works better.

I am a new subscriber. I’m so happy that I found your channel. We love Bourgogne. I can relate to your feelings and thoughts about this wonderful region of France. My cousin and family live in Meloisey. We have visited them many times. I recognized the drive through Pommard. We love their wines also! 😀🍷 They have vines in Pommard, Meursault, Meloisey, and several other areas. They visited us here in the US this past April. Now they say it’s our turn to visit them. Yes, Australia is one of the few countries where we cannot order Marloes’ book. Amazon UK shipping to Australia is crazy expensive.

I have looked into many options including Barns & Noble. Things aren’t as easy as they seem when it comes to self publishing and each provider has its pros and cons. I decided to go with Amazon as it seemed the best fit at the time. Also in terms of managing the sales and admin I decided to publish with only one. I am sincerely sorry the book isn’t easily available in Australia and New Zealand (which I didn’t realize upfront) as they don’t have a local printer for hardcover books. I am hoping both Amazon and the other providers evolve over time in terms of the options and quality of their books and services for when I publish a next book.

I tackle weed killing with vinegar after heavy rains when they sprout. It’s not meant to last forever, but it sure is better than gettin your hands and knees. It’s safe. Salt helps, I assume. Probably a mesh weed barrier would give you longer relief. That can be a lot of work though. I figure walking around with a pump sprayer full of vinegar is sort of a meditative of dealing with weeds in my gravel because I can stand erect and be outdoors and dream walk to a weed free existence.

I hear burning/torching the weeds with a blow torch before they set to seed is helpful in maintaining their growth. I think I heard It from KZbin garden answers cause they have a substantial gravel pathway as well.
