I was born and raised in Asheville. I left there 5 yrs ago and everyone has said that I got out at the right time. Most natives know better than to go downtown after dark. It was once a quiet little country town. Most of my family and friends are scrambling to find a way out. Property and land are astronomical amounts now. I don't even go back for visits now. The town is too dirty.

you're insane downtown is so safe, much safer than it used to be. if you were born and raised here then you know pre 2000 it was legit dangerous in some places. i have lived all over the country and this city is straight up one of the safest places you can be,

There are so many craft beer places in Asheville that it would take a quite a few days to visit them all and actually have a beer in them all,the food an entertainment is pretty great as well,parking isn't the best,you pay to park,and there is public parking,but you gotta look for them lol. I know putting out videos is a lot of work, but some even take a longer video and split it into shorter videos. They use some other vloggers links to criss cross for better exposure. You guys have an amazing collection of experiences in Ashville. Thanks so much for sharing. There is just so much going on there, I am sure even the locals heads spin when deciding where to go. We were a week ahead of you guys this year and after also staying at the Julian Price campground, ditched the RV for the weekend and met up with some friends staying at Grove Park. We ended up going over to White Labs (thanks for the recomendation) simply because the parking on Saturday afternoon around Wicked weed was ...well let's just say "Wicked". Next trip try one of the many walking food and brewery tours (not sure if they do this post COVID). It would make a great viewing for your followers even though you do a pretty nice tour on your own. I do think it would be a good public service announcement to let your viewers know about the draconian (just my Texas opionion) mask laws in Ashville even if you are fully vacinated with a booster. After returning from an 80 day, 8000 RV trip through the northeast, Ashville was the MOST restrictive around COVID taking things further than even Vermont. The lady at the hotel told me I would need to wear the mask in the room if we had any guests over! It takes a bit of the fun out of the visit, although if you are always drinking beer and eating, perhaps that's a good excuse for not complying with the mask mandates. :-)

If you think Asheville is nice right now you should have been here 10+ years ago before it got ruined in the 2020 riots. All those homeless people and heroin addicts everywhere, and it being dangerous to go outside in downtown at night. But in like 2010ish it was a safe and nice clean town where it was mostly bar-goers at night. Now there are gunshot victims every night in asheville. I heard a story recently about gangs of baseball bat wielding goons going around attacking people there. As nice as Asheville looks in this video, it's like Mad Max at night in downtown. I recommend tourists check out the parkway and beautiful surrounding area, but only go downtown during the daytime otherwise you're in for a bad night.

Hey guys! Asheville local here. It was so fun seeing this video and I love the places you chose to visit. But from someone who has been here quite a while and actually worked at the restaurant at Pisgah Inn multiple seasons in the past, when I saw that y'all were going to try to get to the summit going up 276 from Brevard and saw that it was overcast I was like, "oh no, they don't know". So the thing is, if it's EVER overcast in Asheville (~2300 ft in elevation) it is completely "socked in" with fog above about 3500 ft; and Mt Pisgah is at like 5000 ft. This also goes for the summer, which can make for some really cool ethereal dream-like walks in the woods. If you know the roads it can be kind of fun, but being cold and unfamiliar with them I'm really proud of you for just biting the bullet and turning around and heading back down the mountain to safety. And hey, next time you guys come to visit and want to have the best Italian food in town, come see me at Strada Italiano! Keep up the awesome channel, and I'm glad you guys had such a great time in our mountains. Cheers

I live in the area.. the AREA is beautiful. The city of Asheville is overrated tho. There are tons of little towns in the area that are cheaper and offer the same ( or better ) attractions, activities, restaurants ,etc…for example, the waterfall part is being shown in the video here it is not part of Asheville..its next to Brevard… Anyways, if you come to Asheville be prepared to see tons of homeless people, junkies in the streets and over pay for food and beer and hospitality. Oh I forgot to mention, crime is skyrocketing here…be careful.

Chai Pani was way better when the owner was the chef a few years back. Now, that he's expanded and removed himself from that role, the food quality and flavor that comes with Indian food is lacking significantly. This is also a problem in small cities where ethnic food places have no competition. Travel to any other large city and Chai Pani wouldn't even be top ten at best. Asheville had an Ethiopian restaurant that recently closed down and this was definitely the root cause, plus, it was overly expensive. Great video otherwise!
@charlessnipes4212 жыл бұрын
We know crime. Asheville is an oasis in this nation. For those who have shade on Asheville, welcome to the nation. Everything is expensive. Housing is out of control. Everywhere. It’s not Asheville- you just haven’t traveled in the last 2 years. So sorry you hate an amazing place.

I moved to Lake Lure to get away from AVL, I come from a Law enforcement family and am former military. They literally had a post in the paper that for assaults, robberies , and theft they won’t even send an officer, You have to go down and make a report. So this means if someone beats down your grandma, steals her purse and smashes up her car with a baseball bat, NO ONE IS COMING! I can’t count the number of overdoses in the posh woke food store bathrooms, let alone the street, it’s a toilet. I have friends on the force and the sheriffs department, it’s a sad state of affairs in the AVL PD. Defunded, undermanned, and overworked with tied hands from a “woke”city council that only cares about tourist money and lining their pockets with scams. Sad, I used to like it, now I steer clear. The needle is gone and they accomplished nothing but make an already sketchy city into a powder keg waiting to to be lit, but hey they “feel good” that they helped do something. Face palm.. useless propaganda devouring sheep.

Asheville sucks, I grew up there and it was great 30 years ago, but it's turned into the armpit of the universe.
