These guys are HILARIOUS! I'm taking my first trip to Ireland next year and need to find a river with some fish in it. Ideally hit a pub afterwards with these guys...what a riot!
@DietrichBohnhorst8 жыл бұрын
Good luck and let us know which pub you are going to.

I somehow managed to miss this episode. Enjoyable, thanks. Can't wait to cast my first fly in Irish waters since I moved to this beautiful island. There is a small trout river 300 yards from my house. Did anyone ever successfully catch brown trout on fly or spinner or worm at the end of February, or will I be wasting my time?
@DietrichBohnhorst3 жыл бұрын
Some waters open on February 1st and some on February 15th, so I guess there is fish to catch that early. However the only trout I caught in February were stocked rainbows, since the brown trout only opens March 1st in our part of Ireland. Take care and tight lines.

First thing this morning on my way to work i got the notification of your latest video. I was looking forward to my tea break to watch the video in peace. I have to say i enjoyed my tea break and it wasn't the sandwich that i made or the cup of tea from a plastic cup that made my tea break a pleasure. 👍

No I eagerly wait to learn more; after these seven lessons, there should be more to come, lessons 8 - 3476!! Just one question in advance, I heard this word, but didn't see it: What about the Maggot-Fly???

Sir, I have been watching your videos for quite some time now and I can firmly say they are inescapable evidence when it comes to refuting the age old trope that Germans lack a sense of humor!

Lol so funny,to make it serious you need annoying loud music,thousand pound rods and reels and put everything back. Love to know the story about the snoods or whatever they call them,I’ve seen these in Bruegel pictures from five hundred years ago lol.

Sorry Dietrrch, I really struggle to understand that stronge Irish accent of yours.
