Thank you for this info. I am a narrative short filmmaker, mainly animation, trying to get an entry level video editng job. Not a gig but an actual job...I just wanted to make this clear. What would you suggest as my call to action?

What if i worked with camtasia, CapCut and davinci Resolve but no experience in Adobe? Is adobe too different?

I don’t know Camtasia but I can guess that it’s going to be a little different than Premiere, as is Davinci and CapCut. They all have the same basic structure, just a few differences you’ll need to sort out if you ever decide to get into Premiere :) I think being adaptable to multiple editing softwares is an awesome skill you can flex if you get good at this!

That’s really up to you! That depends on the kind of video editor you’d like to be. But when you’re first starting out you don’t have much to choose from you can just put everything in :)

I think I’m our industry, you could go either way! It’s easy enough for the employer to look you up online, so I don’t think it’s necessary. But it could add a little flair to your resume that could make you stand out!
