The salt build up using fox farm would seem to mess with my plants. Drops of balance saved me from a really bad nutrient lock out and I've been growing organic ever since.

I have to say that I have used Fox Farm nutrient’s complete line and exactly per their recommendations. Works for me! Easy feeding schedule

Exactly! 😂 Fox farm is the mark of the novice.. tried them once forever ago when I first started in hydro.. it grew the plant for sure but it's no comparison to the soil and Gaia green I have now.

I’ve grown hydro now for many years and I have tried and will continue to try different salts. What I’ve learned is that nutrients do vary a little bit, but most of the success comes from e understanding what the plant wants and in multi part nutes how to adjust to fulfill their requirements. While ff is not my go to nutrient I will say I’ve used some of their 3 part configurations and have grown very decent top shelf material. The problem I have with GG is you have no way to manipulate the requirements that plants call for so you just add more stuff to try and achieve that. I’ve had decent success with growing in soil and top feeding, but nothing like balancing good salts and no bug issues in my pots or house. I’d rate GG as ok, but by far there are many better and more productive ways to grow if you do so when growing in house 😮

@@Topsrite yea if yield is your goal for sure. But I want real medicine and I don't wanna support fracking with my cannabis plants nutrition. I have actual medical problems, I'll keep everything loyal to the soil. Ya ever heard of down to earth? If your soil is lacking in something i'd recommend them. But THE best terpene expressions come from soil. In all agriculture. Dr. Bruce bugbee and all the other white paper research backs it up. Happy growing with.....salts. Not my jam.

Okay I'm trying Gaia green now I just keep hearing how great it is. I've been using Dr earth for the cheaper price but perhaps you have a point.

@@BrianM-44041 never let me down. 2 years back in the garden and my plants look like skunk magazine quality. I love pissing off old vets. My plants are just better 8/10 times. Greener, healthier, always praying.. them Canadians process there animals Alot better than Americans. All the blood, bone, feather meal etc from the U S I don't trust frankly. If I was sourcing just American I'd go fully fish. But then you'd need a fuck load a silica in the soil to magnetize to all of the heavy metals in that amount of ocean only nutrients.

Many reasons for small flowers. For me Ive experienced that temps play a huge roll has does the amounts of calcium and nitrogen the plants have during the first half of bloom. And no I havent used foxfarm anything for years now...

One should probably flush once a month regardless. Put them in the bathtub and water them (not from the faucet 😂) until water runs out of the bottoms for a few seconds. Let them sit a few minutes and do it again , then allow to drain dry. This will leach out some beneficial bacteria and fungi along with nutrients so amend again as needed. It works well for me. Idk if its the proper thing to do, but i havent seen any evidence to the contrary yet. Just my 2 cents.

If I was growing with fox farm I’d only use their soil with different organic dry amendments not their bottled nutrients.

When fox farm was foxfarm it was a decent product then they sold out to Monsanto and it was shit. Salts didn't leach out in flush .harsh black ash and same grow nothing changed but the maker. 🖕 Monsanto.

I by no means consider myself an experienced or expert grower, been doing it for 5 years though and I was always so frustrated with coco, salts and terpenes. It was always missing like %15 of what it should have been. Get a general 4-4-4, a bloom and worm castings and you, random internet reader, will be off to a much better start than I had
