Thank you for specifying how to do this right. I can tell that I have been inclined to do everything you described. You descriptions were very understandable.

Or just get at the root of your tightness and release the diaphragm! Accessories muscles are only firing when you try to breathe because the diaphragm is mispositioned (caused by stress and slouching) Releasing it will free up your intercostal muscles, untwist your back and allow your neck to relax upon inhalation. When the diaphragm is relaxed you will automatically have a perfect 'zone of apposition'. Also, don't listen to physical therapists who have never taken a complete breath in their lives, holding any tension in your body upon inhalation is doing yourself a massive disservice. When you let go and truly relax your lung capacity will triple.

Hello. Do you have any exercises if you have Right Lateral Pelvic Tilt, but your pelvic is also turned to the left. I feel pain in my right hip, groin, shoulder, neck.

Hi! Love this video! Quick question on the exhale. When you say full exhale, should I be trying to force out every little bit I can get out? Or focus on getting all I can get out without too much strain? Thanks!

great question. we want lots of intensity and strain. we are asking the abs to work more than they usually do to bring the front ribs into a better position...most ribs are flared here and not well controlled which poorly positions the diaphragm.

Does this help with a lateral pelvic tilt where the right leg feels longer than the left and the right lower back is tight.

great video, but why must the exhale be done with the mouth, and not the nose? does it make a difference?

It's easier to release all the air if you exhale fully through your mouth; that's why some PTs suggest blowing up a balloon. You'll feel it in your abs when all the air is released.
