Thank you for reacting to Daydreaming. It's my favorite song. A true rock ballad masterpiece by the genius composer Kanami. And one of my favorite solos by Kanami. The intro to Daydreaming at the 10th Anniversary Tour Finale at Yokohama Arena was amazing! So much emotion as Kanami paid tribute to her grandmother who had recently passed. You can find it on YT...you don't have to react to it, but I would suggest you watch it... Goosebumps on goosebumps. 😅 As for Miku (rhythm guitar, backing vocals, lead vocals, main lyricist, main spokes pigeon and band founder) and Saiki (lead vocals, designer, lyricist) doing harmonies, yes they sound amazing, especially in a rock ballad like this. Miku was the original lead singer when she formed the band. After a few months, she realized her voice was too "pop idol" for the sound she imagined for the band, so with the agency management went and got Saiki. Saiki's voice is deeper and more powerful. Miku with pop voice does have a wider vocal range than Saiki, so as you listen to more and more songs by the Maids, you will hear her harmonies both above and below Saiki's voice. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

I think you are ready to watch documentary Serie about Band-Maid. Here in KZbin there is username/ channel Ohrenje, who had done wondeful Serie about the ladies. I highly recommend to watch those and in order which is 1) Saiki 2) Kanami 3) Akane 4) Misa 5) Miku part 1 6) Miku part 2 7) Miku part 3. The serie gives you great insight about band’s history and their story as a person and as a band 👍

Probably my favorite Mincho solo, but this song has all the Band-Maid parts. Drummer and bassist have such a great feel for the slower song, although we know they can both rip it up too. _All_ the vocals sound great and express the emotions. Thanks for the reaction!

You're probably ready to try one of their acoustics. Sayonakidori which is done by just Miku vocals and guitar, Misa on bass, and Akane drums and backing vocals. I do expect they will return to Chicago as they have done 3 concerts there along with one in Detroit, a festival in Ohio and a concert in Minneapolis, so they are no strangers to the upper Midwest.

One of Band-Maid's super powers is how much emotion comes through their music without understanding any of the lyrics. Kanami, lead guitarist and composer, know how to toy with peoples emotions and when she's playing she's speaking from her soul. When you do see Miku's (rhythm guitar, vocals. and main lyricist) lyrics it goes to a completely different level.

Daydreaming was co-written by Miku and Saiki just like Memorable, which made the lyrics simpler, but in a good way. It's easier to understand and hit the right spot.

@@lurkmerchant very true, Saiki definitely balances out Miku when they co write lyrics. I was speaking more of an over all thing versus just daydreaming. Probably could’ve done a better job making that clear in my comment.

Daydreaming, Bestie, The One, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, Memorable, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile -- an unbelievable range of mid-tempo songs from the greatest hard rock band on the planet - Band-Maid. "Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle,” and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wondered if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? It'll be interesting to see if Bestie (sung in English) hits new markets. Oh well, I'll stop daydreaming now. Thx Michael, for another great Band-Maid reaction!

That was perfection wasn't it? This band has 11 years of material, and they are the only band ever that I have never skipped a song when listening to them. Their b-sides are better than most bands a sides. They just don't do mediocre or fillers. And you never know what to expect next from them next. Wait until you hear their acoustics tracks!

You are correct. Kanami becomes possessed when she is playing the guitar. She is often seen with her eyes closed while playing as well as singing to the music without a mic- just enjoying the vibe. She is normally quite timid, but there are a number of live videos where she just loses it and goes completely wild. If you haven't already done it, Wonderland Official Live Video is another great slower song.

The MV was filmed in Taiwan in 2016 , I`ve heard this song live twice , Saiki`s voice live is Amazing for this song . Miku the 2nd vocalist has songs she sings to give Saiki a break , they are Time , Rockin me , Sayonakidori , electric version n acoustic version , the acoustic will blow you away .
