you dont get enough credit for adding a lot of creativity in the obligatory "pls leave a like etc...". So: cheers, JD!!! Well done!

This game used to be such a headache until I noticed the "show /60" button, it makes production ratios completely trivial. Make sure you're using that if you read this and you're not.

I really like this game. It does need some improvements with performance in the late game, but overall I can see they are still working on it and making it better. I'm excited for Update 1! My favorite part about this game is the realism in production chains and the ability to re-use a lot of "waste" products that are usually ignored in other games. It really tickles that "Get maximum efficiency out of this process" and "research and rebuild with better technology or more refined layouts" itch that a lot of people have.

I know it's super pedantic but @12:12 technically a gas is a fluid (from an engineering perspective, anyway; we treat anything that can flow as a fluid.). Having said that I'm kicking myself for saying "man I wish we had gas storage in this game" as many times as I did before just now learning I could've used the dang fluid storage. And I'm sure there's a tooltip that would've told me that if I bother to read them...
@JDPlays2 жыл бұрын
a gas might be treated like a fluid for piping, but generally they are stored differently. So i understand why you never assumed that a fluid storage would store a gas with real life experience in the subject. P.S. tool tips are hard to read, they need big red warning signs the first time you see them!

Well.....erm....I certainly did a "version" of this JD, but not quite the same as yours. I lost half the hair on my already balding head trying to mimic your design but got somewhat close in the end. It "works" let's just put it that way.

Hahaha non shareable blueprints does make life a bit harder, I do post the images on discord discord.gg/jdplays as that helps some people try to duplicate the builds.

Only just started to play this game about a week ago. I'm trying out various layouts etc to see what works best for the relevant builds required and as the ingame tutorial stops when you get to the cargo dock the steel setup isn't covered, so your guides are proving handy and ideal to help plan any layouts and builds I make when I get to the relevant level/tier. So from that point of view I was wondering do you put any of your builds out as blueprints at all? If so they'd be great to use as a "shortcut" when constructing. Now subbed to your channel and many thanks for your videos too, very handy to say the least. 👍🏼👍🏼

Your setups are soo efficient, I really hope we will get blueprints in this game soon, it is still in early access so there's hope. Will you make use of the Exhaust Scrubber once you've unlocked it?
@petergraphix67402 жыл бұрын
I'm making use of it for the extra sulfur it provides. I'm sure at some point I'll also need the CO2.

i dont know the status of blueprints, but copy paste of belts is VERY soon

Each pair of furnaces use all the O2 from the air separators. If there's a small bottleneck for nitrogen, would that slow down steel a bit?
@peterlyaskovsky14732 жыл бұрын
It surely will, hence MK2 pipe between junction and balancer is a MUST. In case of backlog 2nd / big smoke stack is also needed. OR, separate smoke stack for separator away from balancer. Thats what her Majesty the Math says
@JDPlays2 жыл бұрын
YES, but that also requires you to use ALL the steel constantly. Which i don't expect to happen.
@RigItRay2 жыл бұрын
@@JDPlays That's true.
@sam236962 жыл бұрын
Even if I use the waste products I always have a smoke stack or burner for it, connected with a pipe balancer with the smoke stack at lowest priority. This is one of the big strengths of the game, you always have dirty options to remove waste products, instead of being forced into production lines that use them like you have in other factory games. This means that at any level of technology my oil refinery only ever stops running when my diesel is full, everything else is dumped or burnt or exhausted if it's not being used, even sulfur is burnt off. I wish they would allow us to dump sulfur in piles though

@eagleshot43572 жыл бұрын
Ok question on your iron/steel setup doest 1 blast furnace put out enough molten iron/steel to feed 2 casters? In your setup you do 1v1 wouldn't it be more efficient to 1 furnace into 2 caster?
@JDPlays2 жыл бұрын
Blast furnace outputs 24 Molten Iron, The oxygen furnace consumes 24 molten iron, and outputs 24 molten steel, the cooled caster consumes 24 molten steel. As this does steel only this is a correct ratio, If you were doing Iron then you would need 2 Iron casters
@eagleshot43572 жыл бұрын
@@JDPlays ok thanks ill look at the steel again I thought it was the same as iron, my mistake

Does this have enough room for crushers once you upgrade the furnaces?
@JDPlays2 жыл бұрын
yes and no, i will be posting level 2 furnaces in the future for Iron copper and Steel, all using the main core parts from the level 1 designs
@larsgerlevhansen2593 Жыл бұрын
at 5:53 u are connecting pipes fromoxygen furnace to smoke stack. I cant get it to do that. Have they changed something, or am i doing something wrong? :/

How do you handle recyclable copper, steel and glass?
@peterlyaskovsky14732 жыл бұрын
Instead of raw ore input - 2 storages linked to balancer, prio to scrap, ONE belt out, 2 recipes for smelter. They do just fine on same mixed belt
@petergraphix67402 жыл бұрын
@@peterlyaskovsky1473 Ooof, I've been building a second blast furnace to melt it then balance it back in to the feed with a priority. Well, I better try it this way and save the population.
@JDPlays2 жыл бұрын
yes what Peter said, or depending on how much recylcing you can also just load from a new storage into a existing connector, as a stop gap till your producing a lot more recylables
@EGH6662 жыл бұрын
personally i enabled truck imports on the outer most furnaces and put the recipe with scraps as priority. saves on coal and slag
