I should think, there is a slight difference in the main meaning between the verbs CONVINCE and PERSUADE that needs to be taken into consideration :-): TO CONVINCE - to make somebody/yourself believe that something is true; TO PERSUADE - to make somebody do something by giving them good reasons for doing it.

Hi, thank you for the comment. Yes, these are the meanings of the verbs, however, there are other meanings too. :-) convince can be also "to persuade somebody to do something" whereas persuade can be "to make somebody believe that something is true". So yes, there are differences, but ... :D
