How did these hold up at a track day? Did you do ebc’s bedding procedure (which sounds a bit crazy to me)?

@@matt02468 They did alright but I do want to try another brand of pad just to compare

one tip for everyone, if you have audi care or have gotten a brake fluid flush, open your brake fluid resovoir, this is a good practice on all cars anyways when doing brakes, when you push those pistons back and someone has topped up the resovoir say 1-2 years after you got your brakes done, the fluid will now be coming back up and try to push through the cap, don't ask me how i know lol

Loving all the content you're putting out! For the longest time, we’ve been severely lacking in installation content for the b9 platform. Great to finally see it and watch this build progress!

awesome video, clear and detailed steps! will definitely be of help when I replace my rotors and pads on my B9.5 S5 SB. do you have a video replacing the rear rotors and pads? that would also be helpful 😅

Want me some cross driller and slotted rotors now too
@cammgt3rs3703 жыл бұрын
Dude a ton of people who track would not recommend cross drilled rotors for track. But let me know if they crack or not. Get Girodisc or DBA Australia rotors.
@Northwesterner8 ай бұрын
If you actually think slotted rotors don't crack, it is not possible for you to be more mistaken. I can send anyone here a pdf file with like 12 pictures in it of cracked slotted rotors--some of them HORRIBLY cracked---like "almost cracked in half"....the notion that "crossdrilled rotors crack and slotted ones don't" is a gigantic crock of BS. And 99pct of of the crossdrilled rotors that DO crack it is because the lousy, uninformed manufacturer/ machinists didnt chamfer the holes enough. That chamfering on the holes isnt to "make them look prettier"--it's for one reason only----stress mitigation. 99% of the rotors you find out ther that have cracks it is because the idiots who milled them put either no chamfering or nowehere -near-enough chamfering on them. Period.

I literally thought the same. Dont know if cross drilled are any good even for daily

Not sure, forget to weigh them. However, if you're looking to save more weight ECS offer a lightweight version as well

note to anyone following along, he put the discs on the wrong side, slotted discs are always sided and typically labelled left/right, Also there's no need to put your dirty hands on the brake pad surface and contaminate them, also no need to remove the wiring loom that far back for the wear sensor, just unplug it at the connector block dude

REMEMBER ON YOUR B9 S4 GET EBC BLUE STUFF NOT YELLOWS FOR TRACK USE.

Is that based on experience? I'd like to know more coz I had the yellow stuff and tracked the car once and the front pads were gone!!!

@@shriefh honestly if you can get the orange stuff for your car they are even better. Yellow stuff are crap.
