Cool performance, and good playing.. but there is nothing extraordinary or revolutionary in this.. I have other musician friends who work with a looper and can _easily_ produce popular 4/4 music like this. (we call it tuc-tuc music).. Excuse me, dear TEDx, WHERE are and WHAT are the elements, or ways of musical thinking, that can indeed define this as something that widens the boundaries of music ???!! (And I'm not criticising the violinist, he is a cool guy and a good player.. and I happen to know him. Rather, I'm criticising TEDx as giving misleading/false information to the public !) :( (I'm a pianist, organist, keyboardist - and sometimes I also write music.)

My buddy from high school (in college now) makes a bunch of these with his violin! Here's his cover of "Set Fore to the Rain" by Adele. Type in KZbin then paste this after (/watch?v=uU8DCOxhn-8) for the video. He's truly a talented and gifted person! Please watch!
