@@onnayoung7699 Studio mix is perfect on this album, a bit saturated at some points, but nothing gets left behind if you are playing it in a proper kit. The problem here is that in my opinion, Luzier's only minus is the fact that he loves to overplay, and he does overplay this version over the Silvera one, which is fine, but I still think that sometimes less is more, and the original song already has enough groove and fills. my 2 cents

say what you want about Ray .... but imagine being a fan of Korn for years then all of a sudden your thrust into the spotlight with them , not only performing their previous hits but adding to their current ones. imagine the amount of pressure it takes to perform in a band that the fans want to to see the original lineup of a drummer you replaced , that's still touring since the very birth of numetal , and yet you go out there every single night and work your ass off to deliver for those very same people and make them fans of your own..... call me crazy , but even though David did a great job for Korn while he was with them and his original groove will always be missed ... I think Ray does an awesome fucking job of filling that roll and you can tell he loves it and is so proud to be a part of it as any of us would be to even be involved with this band so many years later and have the passion that they have on stage every night.

Eric Burrington He took the original drum parts that David wrote, and made them better by adding his own style and his own fills. He plays it exactly like this every show. If you've heard David live, he plays it so linear. Ray plays it like how it is on the album. He includes the snare rolls like it should. David just single notes the snare and quite frankly that ruins the song in my opinion by being lazy with your own music.

It's crazy how kids these days are getting in contact with adult media at any time. I mean everyone loves swear words and instead of censoring them we should try to reduce the amount of "fucks" to situations where they are fitting in. No offense to you Vic Firth! Dave created this masterpiece. In Dave's absence, in my opinion, Ray has done a fine job of not only making the song sound awesome live, but making it his own.

Absolutely an amazing drummer. That being said David was the “groove” behind Korn. It’s almost as if Ray is too good to be in this band, if that makes any sense.

hello there , well you certainly don’t know what you’re talking about... He is playing on the tempo of the song, he has a metronome, the whole band had decide what would be the tempo of the song when they play it live... Freak on a leash is a slow song so don’t put that on the fault of ray Were you really expecting that he would play at 200bpm for freak on a leash?😂😂😂 If so you are just someone that is still frustrated after 12 years because David is not there anymore so you’re bitching on Ray to calm that frustration...
@fxexpert4541
@fxexpert4541 4 жыл бұрын
@@marie-eveblais6731 not really frustrated about david absense. But their live performance is 'slow' thats all. It is true that he plays in tempo. Maybe the lack of dynamic and the other shit make it sounds less powerful.

What's the point of featuring Korn if you're going to censor the curse words, and censor them by muting the entire audio in such a ridiculous and jarring way? Way to throw the music by the wayside so you can... Make Korn PG, I guess? Lmao.

With that being said I prefer and totally miss Silveria with these cats behind the skins. He brought that unique power and groove to what they are now. The first few korn albums up to untouchables were the better albums imo. Congrats to Ray for doing his thang with the band. great video.
