One of the UK’s most charismatic TV presenters, Jeremy Clarkson has been entertaining the nation for some 40 years with his uncompromising take on the car industry and life in general. At 62 and with no fewer than 10 jobs at the last count, Clarkson is now trying his hand at farming.
Joining Clarkson is Kaleb Cooper, Jeremy’s sidekick from the smash-hit reality TV show, Clarkson’s Farm. On the show, Kaleb is the young man tasked with teaching Clarkson how to farm, earning his ‘break-out star’ status by telling Clarkson what he really thinks about his farming prowess. Alongside his day job on the Diddly Squat Farm, Kaleb has built up his own agricultural business in the Cotswolds, while gathering 1.1 million followers on Instagram.
Together, in a podcast first, they talk about their sometimes confusing master/apprentice dynamic, how David Cameron broke Jeremy’s vintage tractor and why sheep are afflicted with an existential death wish.

There is something seriously wrong with the schooling system that cannot harness the incredible talent and determination that Caleb has. I was a teacher for 25 years, and the narrowing of the aims of the education system does not cater for such entrepreneurial gems such as Caleb. Our local secondary school here in Nuneaton had a nationally, famous rural studies department but now, since one inspirational, teacher retired, no longer exists.

Clarkson's Farm is THE only reality TV show I've watched in 25 years and it's by far the best show for ages. Highly entertaining but, more importantly, incredible eye-opening. I had no idea of just how challenging farming is and how the government seem to put every hurdle imaginable in their way. I pray there is a series 3...........with ALL the crew! What I really love about Clarkson's farm, is the combination of Kaleb and Jeremy: the fact that Jeremy is not afraid of making mistakes nor is he overwhelmingly bothered by other people's opinions. Following his mistakes make the show very entertaining. And Kaleb is very confident in his own "bubble" of sorts, he's the batman of simplicity that comes to save the day when the main character has gotten himself into trouble. I love the sincerity in this show.

As farmers ourselves, we throughly enjoyed the humorous side to a seriously stressful vocation. My husband started off enjoying ridiculing the many faux pas Jeremy made but then ending up really relating and invested in the journey Jeremy found himself on. The red tape with Defra.. totally relatable. The councils wanting us to diversify then putting obstacles in the way to anything that isn’t farming. It’s been wonderful for all of us in farmings communities to have our daily farm struggles understood. So often people think we are pompous land owners, now people understand Wonderful interview. The reason why Clarkson's farm was a sucess is quite simple. People like me grew up with Jeremy, Richard and James. We loved them in Top Gear and still love them is the Grand Tour. They have become part of the family. So, if Jeremy did a program on knitting I would watch it because I would know he would make it interesting and funny. That's why we watch all three of them in their individual shows. They are great journalists. it has been proved time and time again. Just watch some of the mini documentaries that they did on both TG and TGT, all brilliant. Long may they reign.

But this one is fascinating, entertaining and just amazing to watch. We saw a completely different side of Jezza and a completely new understanding and appreciation of the gruelling job farming is. The best TV show in the 21st century, Kaleb is a superstar. When I ask people if they've watched it, lots of people say no. They don't have a clue what they are missing, I have to confess, I just watched it out of curiosity and was totally hooked. Some people don't understand the work ethic. I do as I spent 18 years as a self-employed contractor and 12-hour days were the norm, 7 days a week.

That bit about telling the children about what happened to their pets made me smile. When I was a kid I seemed to have a talent for finding injured birds or baby birds that had fallen out of the nest. I would bring them home and my Dad and I would take care of them. Often I would wake up one morning and Dad would say "Oh, I got up this morning and the baby bird was all better and I let him fly away!". I am ashamed to admit that it wasn't until I was in my thirties that one day, it hit me like a brick that in fact the baby birds had died but Dad couldn't tell me! I am really not sure why I didn't cotton on way before that because I was a pretty savvy kid. Then again, my Dad was very good at story telling ❤

I’ve lived and grown up in the north of England all my life, around farms and countryside, and always didnt know what the lines in the field were for , only when I watch this first series did I actually realise what they were for and I’m in my 40’s . I always had massive respect for our farmers , they always have been an unrecognised part of the engine room of our culture and economy. I grew up with the opinion that ‘there are no poor farmers’ that is bullshit really. I kind of knew that already as I got older, but this programme really shows it and I can’t wait for the next series. Jeremy is a character so a lot of people,e think he’s a cock, I know where they are coming from but I think he’s great. Kaleb and the rest of the team on this programme are really good people to me and it’s important that the last and new series is watched and absorbed over and above the shite that GMB and the news infect us with every day.

Kaleb is at least 40 years old, in a 24 year old body. I think the show is a success because Kaleb and Jeremy just work so well as a team, both are very intelligent comedians.

I could watch a ten hour long interview of Jeremy, he's just so fun to listen to. Such a well travelled, knowledgeable, worldly guy who is totally down to earth and just comes across as a regular joe you'd sit down for a drink with and talk about sports and the weather with. He doesn't carry themselves as someone who would even have a fraction of their fame and money.

For an interview, that was special!! The four of you were V comfortable and the whole flowed. Some may say its J and C, but it was like 4 cogs (and dog) in a machine. I just remembered what J and K said about lonely farmers and now feel a bit guilty. I metal detect on lots of farms and on one, the farmer has retired and lets another farm his land. Great interview! I have a huge respect for farmers in this country. They are faced with adversity on all sides and my interest stemmed from the milk scandal which cost more to produce than they were allowed to sell it for. It made no sense back then but then I heard about Jeremy's farming antics and its just the perfect platform to illustrate how tough it is for farmers. Despite his own reasons, he and the team have brought the reality to the masses so that people get a better informed opinion of what they have to put up with. Do not let farming die out in this country.... It is vital we support our local farmers.

Jeremy loves everything he did and does, and his motto is probably Enjoy what your are doing. He can see a bit of himself in Kaleb, a young passionate fella enjoying everything he’s doing. That’s why he gives Kaleb advices to help him with his career.

Thank you for taking the time to tape & share this with us. First time I've come across this channel. In our home we have enjoyed Jeremy for years but I believe I love Clarkson's Farm even more than all his other shows! I don't exactly understand why he thinks that their "cast" didn't have chemistry initially or that it had to be developed because we see great chemistry come across our screen. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Kaleb is an absolute doll, he was the big breakout star in season one but we love all those we get to see on the show especially of course Gerald, Charlie, Lisa & the vet.

@@bloodangel13 You'd be surprised how often I see that on farms, with each successive generation new techniques and ideas come along and so often it is the son, the heir to the business that embraces them and has to bring their father around to the new/ alternative ways to do things. Of course the younger generation who 'knows it all' so often has their father and grandfather to thank for the fundamental knowledge that allows them to do that in the first place.

Clarkson’s Farm has been the most entertaining and informative program on TV. I’m sure most people had no idea just how hard and essential farming is before this was aired. I think the show has done the same thing for Australia, raised awareness of the difficulties of farm life as we have a lot of similar problems, including unfortunately the suicide rate amongst farmers. So this pair whether you love or hate Clarkson are doing a good thing. And Kaleb is just brilliant. Keep going guys.

My father recently passed away and just binged the whole first season yesterday. My dad grew up on a farm and never really told me what it was like or how it was done and Clarkson Farm helped me connect with my Dad's upbringing.

My Dad wasn't a farmer but he worked at John Deere managing the Sales Department for 40 years and he knew more about farming and equipment than just about anyone. He knew all the farmers for hundreds of miles around. He died a few years ago. I can't get enough of this show, even if the tractors aren't green.

Coming from two families of farmers, though I work in marketing and obviously streaming - the attention that this show brought to the plight of the farmer (regardless of nation) is fantastic. I worked on my brother in laws farm every summer holiday from being 8yrs old until i left school most people dont realise how hard it is, farmers dont get days off, my brother in law's farm was a dairy farm so twice a day milking the cows along with everything else there is to do its non stop full on 7 days a week, and with little compensation for the work they do, so good to see Jeremy and Kaleb showing the difficulties farmers face, its never changed in the 50 + years i can remember farmers being screwed by the supermarkets. Great conversation hope we get series 3.

It is true what Jeremy says: I wasn’t aware that I was interested in farming and because he took it seriously, I was hooked. Of course, Kaleb teaching him a lesson was one firsttimer after all these Top Gear years which I am holding dear in my personal chamber of precious and most amusing memories 😇🤣🤣🤣🤣
