The crowd was very poor yesterday. Something still isn't right with the ticketing situation. 10% of members getting tickets in the ballot, 130 tickets on the exchange on the day and then a load of empty seats in the upper tiers. I think that we're seeing how valuable Odegaard and Saka are. Although people are moaning at Turkish talking about the transfer window, he's spot on. We failed to kick on when we had the chance. It feels like a regression this season, there seems to be a lack of confidence in many players and at this stage we're relying on those players.

Our performances have been poor this season. Yes we have won most of our games, but the eye test tells me we have regressed so far this season. Just about the Arteta "flying" statement. Remember in 2021 when he said the project will go bang, the project actually went BANG in 22/23 in a way no one expected... so maybe he knows what he is saying. However, the problem is that even if we win on Sunday we remain 1pt behind Liverpool and most importantly 3pts behind City. That loss at Bournemouth will always haunt us, just like the draw vs BHA and City. It's about taking every game like its a big game. About the attack, I still believe Sterling-Havertz-Saka is our best front3 when everyone is at their best. Martinelli on his day is good but he is still limited especially against fullbacks that stay in position, Sterling on his day is Salah-esque...I'm talking about Sterling of 2018. The key will be getting Sterling back to his City-best form while getting Havertz to keep scoring.
@jonnyteejonnytee889Күн бұрын
I heard some people saying Liverpool game is not a must-win and that really got me thinking about the effect of not winning the title for a long time on people's mindset. If you're going for the title, until it's mathematically impossible for your rivals to catch up with you, every game is a must-win, most especially when you risk the possibility of trailing one of your main challengers by seven points if you loose the match. This is the mindset these players and the coaching team have not gotten. When you have that mindset, it affects how you approach every game irrespective of the opposition qualities. If you're still thinking it's ok to loose a game or two now cos it's still early in the season, I'm sorry you're not ready to wrestle the title from this Man City. Those old liverpool players understand what it takes to beat Man City to the title.

The international break is causing break in momentum and injuries! I just see our squad more unstable not because of lack of quality but lack of vibe & drive like last season, having young players that have raised up at Arsenal like Eddie, ESR, Nelson, and Ramsdale & Vieira as well all leave at once impacts harmony and vibes, plus with Odegaard and Saka both being out, its like a bunch of unstable players together who have never been the guy at Arsenal like Saka and Odegaard, causing instability!

So I’m turning 40 this Saturday , and watching Arsenal is painful don’t get me wrong this team is at least trying to compete. I keep arguing with my son because he’s supper positive and uber proud of the team and I’m still wanting more for me Arsenal haven’t progressed from the invincible’s and watching Arsenal last night was a bore fest there’s something missing from this team but that’s Arsenal we are always missing one or two players

I’m still pissed off about Saturday. It’s worrying! Last night was so poor. We can’t even put in a good corner to get us out of trouble without Saka

Turkish's villain arc is hilarious. "Love for the love" has become "who can I deduct points off this week?" 😂😂

Sorry but if the players are tired then Arteta has not recuired enough cover, so there is proper squad rotation. Outside the first 11 there are not enough options for rotation. That is down to Arteta and Edu. Poor recruitment. All top teams have the same problem when challenging for multiple comps.

Overall, we are not in great form right now, and the team's balance isn't right. I think we will get better and improve like we did last season. What tells me that? For pretty much the last three years, we have been getting consistent results, unless people see this as a genuine decline and not something temporary like form and missing players, the context/reason for how we're playing right now... Personally, I don't think it is. Every team will have their blips. It's a long season ahead. Obviously, if we keep getting bad results in the next 6 games or something, then I'll have a re-think. But right now, I don't see it as something like a permanent decline and believe it is temporary.

It seems to always depend on players positions if we perform or lack creativity, but Arteta seems to want them to become capable in many positions even if we slip up at times.
