I don’t want to live in a world where the sancho/Trent incident is a pen in the same way I wouldn’t want the salah/colwill incident to be a a pen either after watching it back. There is contact and someone could argue, therefore, it is a penalty but there also should be precedent that not all contact in the box is a pen.

I was at Anfield on Sunday and the atmosphere was fantastic, I loved it. we sat at the Anfirld road end (behind the goal Chelsea guarded in the first half and that was the last side I hadn't sat on. I've been to 5 games and have now sat on all 4 sides. I have to say, I prefer the Kenny Dalglish Stand or the main stand (both the sides), that way you see both goals equally well. it also didn't help that in the first half, the sun was shining straight at us lol but it was a great game, I just thought Chelsea should have had a red in the first half, Tosin sawing Jota in half there as he injured him should have been sent off.

The biggest difference between Slot's Liverpool and Klopp's is that the former is more organized and not so "energy sapping" for the players, which should be good thing in the long run/season. I guess we'll see how far LFC can go this season... still too early to say anything concrete but all indications are positive, so far at least

IMHO the biggest diffrence is Slot has fixed the defence, under Klopp it felt at times that the defence had no plan. Even Klopp said the defence was a problem last season but it's for the next guy to fix........ well it's looking like Slot has gone a long way to fixing it.

The convo around the no penalty was insane. It’s crazy how when some players do it, like Palmer winning the free kick in the second half, it’s great and clever. But when Salah does it, it’s a flop. Very good review of an excellent game. As a Liverpool supporter, I thought the game was pretty even overall with LFC just able to be more clinical in a few key moments. Chelsea looked like a very decent outfit, especially with such a young team who will only improve as they develop individually and as a team. Top 4 definitely achievable for Chelsea. Still too early for me to say if LFC can really mount a challenge for the title this year, but early season signs are extremely positive and couldn't be happier at the moment. Sunday's game against Arsenal will be another good indicator of where we really are in terms of challenging last year's top 2. Nice job lads, keep up the entertaining work!

The worst call for me was where Reece James was fairly dispossessed then jota and salah i think it was were 2v2 going towards goal and you’d expect jota on the edge of the box to take a touch to the side then slot it into a corner, obviously there’s no guarantee jota would’ve scored but as the ref there if ur not sure u let it play then give a foul after the ball goes out or the attack ends.

What Slot's Liverpool are really good at doing is ceeding possession but not giving up too many chances. Chelsea had 60% possession but only 2 shots on target. Thats the key difference. There is an inceased control there. Whether that works vs Real Media, we'll see!

@5:53 the Sancho incident is not a penalty. It was accidental contact with both players’ feet landing in the same spot. Nowhere on earth is that a penalty. The only time that would ever be awarded by a ref after seeing the replay on VAR is if that referee is incompetent and/or dirty. I could see if the ref called it a penalty and it not being overturned because the call wasn’t a “clear & obvious error” but then the Curtis Jones penalty that was overturned would’ve had to have been given for the exact same reason - it wasn’t a clear & obvious error.
