Yeah, same. Most groups usually debut with “edgy” songs and if Svt did that, I probably wouldn’t have noticed them.
@Claire-td1ng4 жыл бұрын
@@LuftWang To be perfectly honest, I have no idea why SVT having a cute debut song has to do with stanning them or not? Do you usually stan groups based on their debut song? 😯 I personally wouldn' t be able to do that. I usually have to listen to their whole discography before deciding stuff like that, to know if their music is fully compatible with my taste 😅
@LuftWang4 жыл бұрын
R Claire Well I watched 17 Project and the songs they used there weren’t funky like Adore U. I thought their music was alright, I haven’t decided to ult them at that time. Then when they debuted with a song with a completely different vibe from what they’ve been portraying it made them stand out because it shows that they have versatility. It was a fresh sound in 2015. Personally, I do prefer certain concepts over the other. In fact, I’m not a fan of bubble gum pop. Usually, it’s not just the songs that make me stan groups. Their personalities come into play too of course. Since they’re singers, naturally, songs give off the first impression.
@Claire-td1ng4 жыл бұрын
@@LuftWang Oh, alright ✌️ I was the same, I fell in love with their debut song even though I wasn't that much of a fan of their songs in 17 projects. And I've never really liked that much cuter songs. I also do take into account their personalities when choosing fav groups, but I'll get even more invested in them if I love the big majority of their songs, otherwise I'll end up forgetting quickly about them (sorry Pentagon, ASTRO, etc.). I also love their versatility, they fit every concept so well, and it never feels awkward at all. Even tought a lot of other groups are also highly versatile (I keep having to stan more and more groups because of that 😭)

Those little moments in the choreo are improvised, Seventeen really likes to incorporate some personality in their performances, so their more fun songs often have those little freestyle/let loose moments. They used to modify their choreos' beginnings and endings every week when they first debuted, so that fans who would come to multiple performances would always see something new.

The same reason why I love musical-theater choreos from seventeen is because it gives them more room to improvise and have fun with the choreos. Hoshi was actually singing that part when you thought it was Seungkwan :) just a side note: Dino and Hoshi can sing and rap very well so if you listen to some of their other songs esp performance team songs + change up (leader unit - Hoshi, Woozi, S.Coups) Also I think musical kind of choreo has always been one of svt's favs to do ^^ if you want to check out a lot more of their brighter concepts I would suggest adore u + mansae :) as always thank u for your insight
@zaraloves84204 жыл бұрын
This choreography was kind of like an ode to their debut years because this was the kind of concept they were working with at that time. So songs like Adore U, Mansae and Pretty U all had this kind of fun, musical style. Out of these three, I gotta say Pretty U was the most interesting one because of its very musical-like approach to choreography and the incorporation of a *sofa* into the choreo. Adore U and Mansae are just feel-good song and you can really see that they’re the ones choreographing it. I think they also released a special video back then either for their 3rd or 4th anniversary where they showed all the choreography changes they did to Adore U each week to gain attention from the public when they first debuted. Which ties in to one of your questions about whether some moments are choreographed or not. I personally think it’s more along the case of “alright let’s get these three people to pose here. Do whatever you want.” Because they have incorporated a lot of these kinds of things in their choreography. A famous one would be Clap I guess. There was a section where Vernon would be at the centre and does a set of movements alone, then the others would follow him. Which on stage will turn into all sorts of chaos as you can imagine. He once threw a mic into the air and catches it with a Woah. And luckily the members were able to copy it perfectly and none of the mics got hurt. 😂

Also, you would love their songs Pretty U, Adore U, Mansae, Oh My, and Very Nice if you liked snapshoot. Seventeen started off as a “cute” fresh concept when they debuted. Only recently did they start going more “dark”. Their first win was with Pretty U and has a very theatrical choreography! Adore U is their debut song :-) I hope you can react to all of these fun songs and choreos! I would recommend watching the Pretty U choreography video and the Pretty U special video from their Ode To You tour. We don’t usually recommend watching the music video.

i know this was posted a million years ago and you've got lots of answers/comments, but most of the clips in the mv are from NYC (I think you're right abt Times Square), LA (some neighborhoods and a bowling alley (with cameo by Tobi Lou!!), as well as some outlying areas), Chicago (the ones where Hosh is in a big black jacket), Sugar Land (near Houston - the shots where there's a big field with a neighborhood far in the bg), and... hm. those were the only areas i recognized but the tour was also in Dallas and Seattle, at least in the US portion!! it was so much fun to see that they filmed it all while hanging out on breaks while touring (and even snuck in S. Coups, who was on a hiatus for his health - they flew him over to the US so sneakily) and this was all in January back when people were only barely starting to hear about COVID worldwide!! the last few dates of this world tour were actually cancelled bc it got more widespread :(

This was filmed during their American tour (in there spare time) If you like this concept you should check out their earlier songs they were more kinda up beat

Thank you for the reaction!! Been waiting for this! Actually this is the type of music Seventeen started off their beautiful journey with! Please react to their earlier musics like Adore U, Mansae and Pretty U. They are all songs from the same family! Cheerful, energetic and with a little bit of musical style and goofiness in the dances! You will love them!

If you listen to their older songs this is actually a very classic Seventeen style, they're known for their fun songs but recently they've been branching out more.

Actually some of their songs have that musical aspect to their choreo. Prety u, aju nice and mansae are really fun dances that have a lot different aspects to them it'd be really cool if you could react to them^^

I am so mad that KZbin didn't notify me of this one 😭 You're totally right about us Carats being extremely emotional with this (and their other special video - I could not stop laughing) I'm glad you enjoyed Snapshoot! The playful vibe really makes you have fun with them ^^ And thank you for enjoying our beloved Seventeen's music with us ✨
