As for Seventeen, they’re SO talented, I’m sure everyone might’ve been telling you everything about them so I won’t repeat it all but I’m 99% sure you’re gonna LOVE them. I’d always advise doing double features like these for them because sure their mvs are amazing but it’s their choreography that REALLY does it for most people. Also their vocals are INSANE, their two main vocalists are probably some of the Best in the industry, you should check some of their live stuff for yourself and see. Or you could even react to their subpar guide if you’re really interested haha. Thank you for giving them the time! They make art and they make it by themselves, so it’s even more impressive.

Jeff Avenue Hi. Would like to show you a pre-debut video of them doing a cover to Nue’st Action which you might like to check out. As it features Samuel who used to train with Seventeen but stopped training with them around a year before Seventeen debuted. The reason why I would like you to check this out was at this time Samuel was around 10 years old and significantly shorter than the rest who were either in middle or high school. And even with the staggering height difference, you could actually see him blend pretty well with the group and being synchronised. And I though this was pretty cool to see how they trained during trainee days and the hard work they put in to perfect every performance. Here’s the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a33Id6KMh9OLj7s Hope you enjoyed it.

The one you pointed out as someone who probably is trained, at 13:15, the graceful one - It's Minghao (stage name: The8). He's one of the main dancers in Seventeen. He's from China and he was the dance trainer at a Chinese show similar to "Produce 101" in 2019, so he could show the whole China how amazing he is 😊 He's skilled in martial arts, so maybe that's why he seems to be graceful in those moves, because in terms of his dance training - he started as a b-boy, before joining the agency in Korea. He can do more than just hiphop, he really is a great dancer, but hiphop is his strength and his passion.

Also the person you said who looked trained is Minghao/The8, he's actually currently taking contemporary dance lessons together with the blonde guy/Hoshi with him in the scene with the chains 😊 The main vocal is Dokyeom/DK, he actually debuted as a musical actor just last year and he got casted as the main lead. FINALLY! Seventeen! They produce, compose, write, and choreograph their own stuff. And have since the beginning. They even have input into their set, video, costume, and merchandise design! Since they have such creative license, they explore many different genres of music and dance, but because they do it themselves, everything they do is very “Seventeen”. ALL the members can sing, dance and rap. They have a crazy strong bond with each other and they LOVE their fans (Carats). They put out an insane amount of content. They have their own ongoing series (that they creat themselves) called “Going Seventeen” as well as a behind the scenes series called “Behind Seventeen”. They also have their personal shows...Jeonghan’s Warm Cup of Milk (like a radio show), Dino’s Danceology, Seungkwan’s Castella, etc. They are all hilarious, too! Variety kings. They have pretty much turned their WeVerse channel into their group chat room where they fuss and joke with each other. Constantly. They chat with their Carats a lot, too. Basically, there is stuff to watch everyday Prepare yourself for a great ride! I’d recommend you check out A Subpar Guide to Seventeen. It’s a good introduction to them.

I'M SO HAPPY YOU REACTED TO THEM AHHHH !! I've kinda commented several times already on other vids but I thought I'd not just recommend some other SVT choreos and mention what's unique/good about them so that it's easier for you to decide. :) Don't Wanna Cry - Their most iconic choreo and possibly their 'hardest' choreo, technically-wise HIT - INTENSE. From beginning to end it's hard. It's super fast, but that's definitely not all there is to it. THANKS - Formationsss !! This one is similar to Fallin' Flower in that it likes to paint an image with the visual, but has a lot more actual 'choreo'. It uses korean sign language in several moves and even spells out the letters THX individually in one segment from an aerial perspective (which is meant for the fans at concerts who have to sit high up eg balcony seats, so that they feel involved too) Getting Closer - A darker concept, snappy & sharp moves Snap Shoot - Super fun! I think you'll appreciate this one as a performer and because of your experience in musical theatre, it's very characteristic and musical-like. It's definitely more of a performance than just dance to accompany singing. (It's reminiscent of their old songs from debut years like Mansae, which are also very musical-like and fun)

This is actually their Japanese release after their consecutive Korean releases last year (home, hit and fear). Their main target in this are japanese, and Japanese’s taste in music is quite different so they tried to achieve that. Their korean releases has a bit of wester influences. On the other hand, love the reaction couldn’t wait for more contents from svt and nct. FIGHTING!!!! Ps. Japanese companies are strict in copyrights. Thats why some reaction videos are speed up.

Oooo should I be worried about this one? I guess it’s still quite new, hard to tell. I love the way Koreans do Japanese music. It’s so good and sentimental! I know I’ve loved BTS’ Japanese songs too

@@JeffAvenue Some reaction videos are still up in youtube so maybe they aren't strict with this one, but for future japanese reaction videos try changing the speed/pitch. Can't wait for more! Fighting!

@@JeffAvenue 😂 'sentimental'. Wait till you see NCT 127's Chain or Wakey-Wakey (the dance for Wakey-Wakey is weird though) . To be fair, the b-sides for their Awaken album were pretty sentimental and calm. Most of the NCT b-sides are very different from their 'noisy' title songs.

Keep in mind you NEVER have to like the song, we understand that sometimes a listener just isn’t going to like a song! 🥰 (this is coming from a carat aka. a fan of seventeen)

true that. im a carat myself and i love the boys but i dont have to like all of their songs and choreo. music is subjective anyway, you listen to what you vibe with and makes you feel good. hopefully more kpop fans will understand this..

Yup, can't agree more. I'm not a carat. But, i like almost all seventeen's songs hehe and i also like other groups certain songs hehe

Every time i watch this mv and listening the song, it makes my literally wanna cry, cuz its so... speechless. And the song refers to the death and spiritual notion of Japanese culture, the die for a mission and the regrown under the dark ‘cloud’.

I love you as a reactor so much. You have such broad knowledge of performing in general: dance, singing, musical theatre; so you can really analyse these performances with the perspective of someone who's been in similar scenarios, and knows about the process as well. Your comments are always so genuine and refreshing, and I love how you're not afraid to mention when there's something that you personally dislike or think could be improved. Don't stop being you! Please!
