Yeah, it's why I dont get why people say they dislike his voice. When I first heard that, I was wondering what the heck was wrong with his voice but after hearing it, it was definitely a 'I don't see what they mean' moment for me. If anything, I love his voice.

@@glaciemdraco those people are most likely haters so you can ignore them. Onew's position in the group as the main vocal meant he supported the lead vocal, who was Jjong. Onew didn't get a lot of the climax but his voice was used a lot during the choruses. And because of the uniqueness of his voice, people associated his tone with SHINee. It's common to hear comments from non kpop fans who are exposed to kpop music via friends or family say, they know it's a SHINee song because they could pick out Onew's voice. Just yesterday, a friend's sister who is an exo-l, said that in their GC they were discussing DCM. They were saying, at first DCM didn't sound like a SHINee song but it became one as soon as Onew's voice came on.

I don't think he was talking about screen time or the amount of lines Key had. I think he was talking about opportunities to do something more with his singing. Like a belt or a run. Something that would have showcased Key's singing skills.

Yeah, honestly, Shinee got a very different timbre of voice for each member. You could quickly tell the light & airy squad (onew, tea), the low voice of minho, or the more harsh tone of key. Idk if it's right for me to say that I'm so curious of where would Jjong lines be in this song, it's very different from what they've done before.. They've grown a lot......

Honestly, I don’t wanna imagine the difference. This album is full and vibrant with everyone having their best foot foreword. It, unlike the last album, sounds complete and is an evolution after everything that came before.

@@alizlovescherry well I could hear Jjong's voice in other members voice sometimes so I would say some parts in the chorus which he wouldv'e sang with a much more press on the tone and then the high note and some parts of the bridge taemin did... Jjong's voice would suit those vocal parts with a heavy press on the tone like how he usually sings songs with like emotions meant for this type of song...

According to a feed on twitter Minho has filmed for a role acting variety show with Key called painful date I think it will air soon and from that when Minho was asked what he's done after discharging from the military and it's said that he's been doing rythmic gymnastics in the morning and pole dancing in the evening.... so yes I do see a more fluidity in his dancing so could those extraxurrciular have helped? If I see this show I will see if his activties are discussed and get back to you on that.

I'm so in love with this song and dance, I already know it's going to be in my Top 5 of 2021. I can't wait for the dance practice to come out, what we've seen so far just looks absolutely amazing. Shinee is my ult group since 2017, so I'm still more of a younger Shawol but this comeback exceeded my expectations. I'm so proud of them and thankful that they give us something to be excited about during these general hard times and personal hardships.

Well, actually since they debuted Key is part of both the vocal and rap line and if you listen to their first albums Key was killing it along side Jonghyun and Onew. His voice fits so well with their initial r&b music. Over time, Taeminnie got so much better at singing and he got a lot more parts that allowed him to show off his skill and Key got more rap parts in their title tracks, but he's always been a great singer. Honestly, just like Jonghyun said, in SHINee all five are vocals.

SHINee is a contemporary band which means their concepts are always unique and out of the box. I literally grew up with them (i was 14 when I found out about them). This comeback has made me so incredibly emotional. Extremely happy that SHINee, who are my literal happiness, are back. But also very sad to be confronted with Jonghyun's death again. I hope more people will give attention to their music because they're the strongest group out there and deserve all the love in the world!

I thought Key was heard a lot during this song due to his versatility. For Minho, I feel like you probably haven't seen much of his dancing capacity yet, that's why it seems like his best dancing here. Btw, he said it only took him something like 2 months to be used once again to his life before army (schedules, recording, practicing, etc.). I really think it's amazing how he was back in November only and already did so many things in not even 3 months (acting, SHINee comeback, a lot of variety shows... like a ton of them). He said his members helped him during this time but still, I am very impressed. I really can wait for the dance practice too!
