Hey Brandon, Great work on that instrument. You and Reggie Mobley need to collaborate with the Bass Singers Look up "Hoist The Colors (Bobby Bass)" Very impressive bass voices. You all have talent and with like minded artists you all could make some beatifully great music. Im pretty sure of it.

Lyrics: O solitude, my sweetest choice, Places devoted to the night, Remote from tumult and from noise, How ye my restless thoughts delight! O heav’ns! what content is mine To see those trees, which have appear’d From the nativity of time, And which all ages have rever’d, To look today as fresh and green As when their beauties first were seen. Oh, how agreeable a sight These hanging mountains do appear, Which th’ unhappy would invite To finish all their sorrows here, When their hard fate makes them endure Such woes as only death can cure. Oh, how I solitude adore! That element of noblest wit, Where I have learned Apollo’s lore, Without the pains to study it. For thy sake I in love am grown With what thy fancy does pursue; But when I think upon my own, I hate it for that reason too, Because it needs must hinder me From seeing and from serving thee. O solitude, oh, how I solitude adore!

"Such woes as only death can cure". I love Purcell not only for his expressive music but also for the poetry. And the performance was so good, that each line was not only intelligible but also full of emotion. We need more of this in the daily news!

A few day ago I saw this posted on my subscriptions feed but scrolled past it; then yesterday I decided to finally play this clip, and so I did on my TV. The moment Reginald Mobley started to sing I was mesmerized, like I was hypnotyzed by all of it: the notes that Brandon played on his theorbo, the voice of Reginald, the verses, the song itself. It literally took my breath away! And after the clip finished I also decided to also play it again but this time on my headphones and boy, oh boy! The simplicity but then again the complexity of it is just simply divine! For the first time in my life I think this is the first song thar literally resonated with my core! At the end I was in this state of madness, wanting more of this song, and so I started to search for other performances and I found other two, I guess, that I like, but this one here is my ground zero, this very exact performance and interpretation is beyond everything else! With my utmost sincerity, bravo to both of you!
