I wonder if you'd end up back in time if you got CUSTOM1 pitch back to half-way (flashing) and then shift-launch, shift-launch to remove and relaunch as if from beginning. I've never done a workflow with stems. Very good video about a very good performance! Thank you!

This was very informative, and showed useful info I haven't found elsewhere. There's no substitute for seeing a talented artist show how it's actually used in practice. At some point, it'd also be cool to hear your thoughts on Deluge vs a DAW as a tool for recording and arranging clips to make songs. The Deluge is obviously far less powerful, but for fairly simple songs where advanced DAW features aren't needed, how do they compare?

I'll tackle the looper at some point. As for fx, yes. Mostly samples though I'll use a white noise synth instance with automation sometimes as a riser.

Quick question on your stem tracks, I typically use the Audio tracks on the Deluge instead of building kits, do you have a reason or advantage for putting stems in kits still vs. using audio tracks? Biggest challenge I have with the Deluge is getting a good blend while transitioning songs with BPM changes...stems make that even more difficult as pitch shifts and what not occur. Any tips?

I haven't even attempted to transition smoothly between songs and honestly the reason I'm not using audio tracks is because I don't know them yet.

@@RedMeansRecording Yeah, my concept that I haven't devoted a lot of time to is that you'd take the final audio track or clip of Song A and put it as the opening track/clip of Song B and then transition into the other tracks/clips of Song B...but due to BPM shifts...the track/clip of Song A you carry over distorts or pitch shifts to Song B's BPM. Messing with Independent and Linked Pitch works sometimes...but it becomes tedious and difficult at times. Other option is to have a seperate sampler with the sample on it that you can "DJ style" fade and transition to keep the sample from being in Deluge's BPM sync. Idk, I need to spend more time trying to tackle it!
