i dont care about eminem saying this for "controversy". the difference is he doesnt have to live in opression, whereas mike know what is like to suffer homophobia, so obviously to him is not funny if someone uses homophobia to joke about it
@mrnickb4 жыл бұрын
Eminem is obviously not a genuine homophobe, what he says is out of humour. Maybe Eminem has had less obtacles in his life than this guy, maybe he's had more (I don't know much about Eminem, but his early life doesn't exactly sound like smiles and rainbows). Regardless of who you are, there should be no boundaries when it comes to comedy.

Well now in 2021 we're pretty much applauded & worshipped for being gay unless you're a teenager in The Middle East, Appalachia or a super repressed family background. I think we can now afford to allow a little of the humor that we've always poked at ourselves among ourselves. He's super sweet & genuine & I understand that his identity is part of his music, but in our own lives it seems wise to be careful that our sexual identity doesn't end up defining us entirely. It bores people, limits us & becomes self absorbed.

Honestly, I like both of them. I get what Mike is getting at but music is full of musically gifted "assholes". Most artists are to some degree an asshole. His comment that Eminem's raps are "boring" meh no not really Mike. Offensive? Juvenile? sure. Boring? Nope. Look, Hip-hop and Rock both are chock full of homophobia and it's something that both genres are still working out. I like Mike and Em but in the end this drama shit is the most boring thing imaginable.

Wow, the amount of hate in the comments. To begin, Mike calling Eminem "an asshole" is childish. Everyone has an opinion and that's totally okay. I hardly think that's the worst thing Eminem has ever been called. And so what? Eminem has always been known for standing on his own two feet and saying what he thinks and feels while not giving a damn. He has had a very tough life, something that noone will ever truly be able to understand about him. He doesn't care about much, but the one thing he seems to care about is his family and atleast I respect him for that. Mike and Marshall have fanbases, and I think both of them have helped their listeners with their music and the feelings they invoke through it. That's all it is. Music. Audible art this subjective. For the record, I listen to both and like them for different reasons. So, to all of the people in the comments pointing out the obvious fact, that yes, he is in fact gay. So what? That seems to be one of the only arguments you can come up with... He is being himself and so is Eminem. Spouting homophobic nonsense is not helping your cause.
@simras12347 жыл бұрын
I'm sure Eminem is gonna want to sit down after this request. Based on interviews I would say asshole is a harsh label, but I guess he has a different sense of humor than Mike Hadreas. It may not be the most constructive attitude to debate on twitter with, it reminds me of someone whose name end on rump.

Eminem has said, time and time again, that he is not homophobic. Just how earlier in this interview he said that he tries to be controversial, Eminem does the same thing, in very very very different ways. But as a lover of music in general, I'm here watching this interview because I am a fan of his. I am also a fan of Eminem. It's possible to do both and not cry about it

He's said that he's not homophobic. He's also said things that are homophobic. Like how most racists wont admit to being racist, einstein
@uzferry55247 жыл бұрын
I think that's the point - Eminem built his career on being contraversial figure, constantly saying big fuck you to all the social norms, media, pretty much people in general. He consciously embodied the edgy yet genuine teen, druggie, sexist, homophobic yet expressive and confident, a guy who's taking it too far persona and integrated it into the hip hop, which has been shocking and very successful too. YOu're not going to talk sense in to him, that's part of his entire career, despite what his true beliefs are. Em never gave a fuck, and he was very vocal about it. As I said Em's been very conscious about who he decided to be and he even reflects on it later in his career, he's even released a song "Asshole" which pretty much says it all
