Thank you for the review, Aaron! I am probably in a minority but I was disappointed by Delina. Firstly, I didn't like the cedar note. Or may be it's not cedar but some aroma chemical that comes off as cedar, but it sort of ruined it for me. And secondly, I agree with you that it's missing something, something that would elevate this fragrance from high quality utilitarian functional perfume category to something that tells a story and stirs emotions, like a book or a poem. It's just a very good high quality pretty fragrance "pour une fillette", not poetry in a bottle by any means which I sort of expected based on the hype. 💕

I AGREE with you 1000000% Aaron, some Sandalwood (Mysore) would be the final perfect ingredient to smooth and round out the minor rough edges of this Delina parfume. Nevertheless, it's quite a BEAUTIFUL SCENT😊, love your reviews on parfumes, They are interesting😊

Hmmm, I'd love you to revisit Initio - Atomic Rose again based on this review! Delina & Atomic Rose are damn similar, I own both (Atomic R for me & Delina for my partner).. Atomic Rose is more powerful and lasts wayyyyyy longer with a presence to match..

I fear there is something wrong with me as I am the only person that does not like Delina. To me it smells like synthetic roses. I didn't get any other notes but the rose and it gave me a raging headache. They gave me a sample of the Exclusif and I really enjoyed it. Although, that one gave me a headache as well.

I just bought Delina this week. I find it quite unisex with the lychee and rhubarb with a pinch of rose. It works really well on me. Lasts 24+ hours on my skin. Don’t be afraid to sample this, gentlemen.

I thought I was going to sprout little pink fairy wings and be able to fly around when I put on this perfume based on all the hype it gets. I got a sample and tried it and personally do not care that much for it. All I smell is spicy cashmeran musk with a little fruity floral top. I am a minority too- not a fan.

I am utterly eaten up with curiosity to find out what you would have to say about fragrances from the nose of Manuel Cross and his brand called rogue perfumery. Sad thing is, I do not think you can get your hands on it across the pond. He is a former chef turned perfumer who has turned his back on IFRA so he can re-create fragrances with characteristics common in past decades. He uses lots of naturals. His defiance is such that he will sometimes include oak moss in the packaging of his chyppres and fougers as an added touch.

I like the opening of this perfume very much. Unfortunately, I don't like the dry down. I have only tried "Delina Exclusif", though. I just don't like the rose in it. It makes me feel a bit sick (too overwhelming for me), similarly to Francis Kurkjian's "Oud Satin Mood". So, not for me unfortunately. But I know and understand that it is extremely popular. If it stayed similar to the opening, it would be gorgeous for me. :)

Yes. Delina. I gave this one to my wife and was honestly disappointed because of the lack of _any_ woodiness. It is completely floral, fruity, and very linear. There is nothing dry in the base. There _is_ no base. As you said, something natural and woody would tremendously boost this fragrance into the stratosphere... patchouli, vetiver, an oud, sandalwood, or frankincense... either of these would make this scent into a signature one.

Therapeutic and Insightful reviews as always, Aaron. I just received my package containing 10ml bottles of Ozone, Oud & Onyx today. Glad I went for it as they all smell amazing and unique. Will be getting my hands on more of your work in the future. I was also wondering what your thoughts are on layering designer fragrances like La Nuit De L'Homme edt on top of Oud or Onyx. The notes on LNDL would be Vetiver-Tonka bean-Coumarin-Caraway on the base and then Cardamom-Lavender around the top and mid. It would be awesome to pick your brain on this.
