Really appreciate you doing these... more different videos, Aaron. As for the scents: I have Naxos, have Alexandria II. I actually bought these based off the suggestions of both you and Demi Rawling, tried them originally because of you both and ended up buying them. I didn't like Side Effect because of the hedione, gives it that bitter odor. I like original Interlude, haven't tried Black Iris. I have Herod, I have Oajan, I got standard Layton, Exclusif is a bit much for me. If I had to recommend 4 to a man that to start a collection and we're keeping the selections somewhat safe: Layton or Cedrat Boise (fruity take on Aventus) as an all-year, Alexandria II as a showstopper formal scent, Naxos or Blessed Baraka as date night, and Herod for the cold. If you wanted to do seasonally, I would do Herod - winter, Layton - spring, Percival/Sedley - summer, Naxos - autumn.

I love your beautiful, poetic descriptions & (frankly) amazing storytelling of a fragrance. In my short perfume collecting journey, from this list, I've only managed to pick up Herod but it's honestly the perfume version of "the love of my life". I also picked up a couple other gorgeous perfumes (namely Eau Sauvage Parfum 2017 & Terre D'Hermes Parfum) but I do hope to get my nose on a couple of the others on this list. Thank you 🙏

Love seeing my precious Noir Extreme on here. Definitely in my top 3 all time favourites, a perfect winter fragrance with just the perfect amount of sweetness. Hands-down a must-have if you ask me!

I'm in love with Initio Side Effect... I feel like in the world of nichè perfumery there is a lot of over priced fragrances out there... whilst this one is expensive, imo it's worth the price tag... it smells luxurious

I loved this review. The three colognes that I wear primarily today are Xerjoffs Tomi lommi, Amouge reflections, and Thom Fords Oud Wood. I think that the deeper I delve into this space the more I realize that naturals are the way to go. Keep doing what your doing , your awesome.

This is an absolutely great list. I have these frags for a reason, (including a clone of the Boadicea) My all time favorite date night frag is TF Noir Extreme, assuming I want to close the deal. All of these frags are absolutely enjoyable!

i know this video is more than a year old but i love to see Dior Tobacolor getting some love. I get asked about it every time i wear it. it smells good in all of its stages and it lasts 8+ hours on skin and forever on clothes

Love the reviews as usual. I agree with side effect, naxos, Ombre leather. For PDM i only like carlisle and herod. I think tuxedo belongs on the list. And also LV afternoon swim or imagination is great for summer.

Great list! I have 4 of the fragrances you listed. I’ve been planning on getting Oajan next. I’m really intrigued by the cinnamon/apple pie aspect of it. I love me a good gourmand-y fragrance!

If you want a truly "beast-mode", loud, high quality gourmand cinnamon "apple pie" perfume, you'll almost certainly enjoy Oajan. I have it, and wear it heavily in Oct/Nov. Angels' Share by Kilian is in the same vein, but removes the resins, and subs out the pastry-like note for oak, and replaces the osmanthus in top for a GORGEOUS cognac note. Extremely different perfumes (despite what anyone says about similarities, their only connection is sweet and cinnamon), but hands down, the two best cinnamon/"apple pie-style" perfumes on the market. I wear Oajan casually, and Angels' Share formally/dates/sex. Can't go wrong sampling either if you love that style.

I have Naxos, Noir Extreme, and Herod. I do love Oajan and starting to test out side effect. Only worry I have is that all these fragrances are very gourmand which is my favorite but I live in Texas so I need something very fresh to cut through the heat.

I live in Houston and have been wearing freshies like Sauvage, Dylan Blue, BDC, Egoiste Platinum, etc., and a friend sent a decant of Louis Vuitton L'Immensite. This, for me, was a gamechanger, showstopper, grandslam! It has become my signature scent for all occasions and all weather conditions. The most versatile frag ever concocted. I pulled the trigger and bought 2x 200ml bottles because they didn't have a 400ml and I could get 2 for double the price. I've began selling off my collection of fragrances (approximately 135) because I don't need them now that I found the LV. It's truly that great, IMO. If you haven't tried it, order a 0.2ml from LV (around $6.00??) Or find a place that sells it and go test it. The performance is astounding.

I am a TF fan, but I had a bad experience with Ombre Leather Perfume : on my skin, it was absolute disaster, hate it!! However, the edp is kinda my signature sent 🙄, totally addict. Don't know why the perfume doesn't work for me 🤷‍♂️. Thanx for your review Aaron 🙏

Hi Aaron. In case you were unaware, Initio and Parfums De Marley are owned by the same company. PdM is one of my favorite Houses, along with Dior and Prada.

Alexandria ii is a beautiful, yet masculine scent on me! It feels complex and lasts a long time. It amazes me each time I wear it.

Oajan is a masterpiece, but for many (including yours truely) it gives a burning sensation and induces headaches. I only smell it from the sample to enjoy this gem without the side effects. You omitted Carlisle. It's better than Harod imho.

I just got into this hobby and have never really watched your channel yet. The first bottles I grabbed after some samples were Layton Exclusif, Herod, interlude Black Iris and Oud for greatness. Also I tracked down the older lower alcohol versions of these and compared to the samples they do last longer. Seeing 3 of those on ur list makes me feel like I can really trust ur sense of smell, some of the other popular reviewers recommend stuff and I try them and I'm like these smell so average. Aaron, we must be related! I can’t believe we’re simpatico on almost all the fragrances you selected which I consider masterpieces. I’m lucky to have acquired Dior Homme Intense Side Effect Naxos Alexandria ll Tobacolor Layton Ardent Noir Extreme I tried Interlude Black Iris and found it off putting. I never gave it a chance beyond its opening. Oajan will probably be one of the next ten that I acquire. May I suggest two fragrances to consider and which I think you’ll love. They’re not exactly easy to acquire. 1) Venito-V7 (a Saffron narcotic, fairly priced) 2) EBK Paris-Deep n Desire (a unique sweet delicious gourmand grapefruit.) Love your intelligent inspired reviews!

Ombre Leather Parfum was my choice as well, after wearing both Parfum and EDP on each hand while testing. Felt there was a gap in quality even though they both great, Parfum version just simply offered more.

I'm fortunate enough to have a few of these. Naxos is my favorite fragrance in my collection and Side effect is great too. If you can't get Dior Homme Parfum (In my opinion, arguably the best designer fragrance there is) Intense is pretty close to as good. I have both of them and both are great fragrances!

Loved this list. Currently exploring lots of things but in general I avoid thin and shallow candy frags… one reason I’m not a fan of Grus Charnel. Love this. I just received a sample of Noir Extreme which I’m enjoying. Chasing the notes. I have a list of samples for next month. 2 of which are in this list Oajan (along with Pegasus)and Ardent. It’s winter here right now and these scents are calling my name. I’ll intersperse them with my Cuir Ylang, Scandinavian Crime and your Boss Bastard to see if I fall in love.
