People in the Middle East wear intense heavy frags in hot weather all the time. Even us here in Southeastern Europe. Our fragrances would choke out Western people in the summer, hahaha.

I don’t know if anyone cares but Suederal does smell of suede, very nice, if you smell it you will probably think leather before suede, it works great in low concentrations and can also dominate a fragrance at higher ones. Putting The huge dose Cashmeran aside, think of Nasomatto Duro, suederal was undoubtedly used. Safraleiene smells remarkably close to “safranal” which is the major odorant of saffron, however safranal is extremely restricted and safraleine makes a great substitute and can be dosed high, smell “African Leather” by memo paris, safraleine is the doninant molecule for the leather feel. Isobutyl Quinoline at first sniff does not have a leather scent IMO, it is actually a rather “strange” smell, it took me a while for it to grow on me, I now truly love it. It was used extensively in fragrances of the past, think of the famous “Mousse de Saxe” accord, I also believe it was used in Tuscan Leather (don’t quote me on that). Anyways, making perfumes myself, I felt since Aaron is name dropping aroma chemicals, I would offer a small insight to those who may want a little extra

I luckily got my hands on this a few weeks ago. I paid about 80 bucks for it. This is absolutely stunning imo. Im a HUGE fan of the absolutely flanker and this one is a really nice leathery twist on the dna.
@gregoryfortner43852 жыл бұрын
Dang! It goes for double that usually. Where did you get it
@bigboyfinesse83102 жыл бұрын
@@gregoryfortner4385 An online store called emanuele niche parfume from the middle east. First i thought it was a fake shop because it kinda looks like it and the shipping took really long lol. I wanted the exclusive edition of d&g the one luminous night (the blue bottle) which is only available in that area aswell and when it arrived i was absolutely stunned at how gorgeous it smelled. Emanuel himself added me on whatsapp and showed me pictures of his store to make sure i believe he wasnt a fake shop or selling fakes and so i kinda became good with him and now hes my plug lol. After i found out that the leather flanker of swy was also a middle east exclusive frag (which btw is a TERRIBLE trend lol) i had to have it cuz, as i said, i love the absolutely flanker and so i asked emanuel if he had one. He said he made an inquiry and soon after hit me up to tell me he doesn’t have those but has a tester bottle laying around. He asked for a 100 i offered 80 and he was cool with it lol. (Btw im talking € not $ or £ 😄). That’s a lil story there mate. Good luck finding it though, i know it’s really hard to find but dont pay crazy prices on ebay (saw people selling it for 150-250€, it really isn’t worth that) it’s awsome but although im glad to have it and will happily wear it, i still prefer the absolutely flanker. I heard it smells more of intensely with a leather twist, so i guess people who prefer intensely will totally love it. I personally dont like intensely but like the leather one regardless.
@gregoryfortner43852 жыл бұрын
@@bigboyfinesse8310 sounds like you got lucky that he had the one bottle. I've heard a few different one's that know their stuff mention the leather being the best in the line. I agree intense makes me sick cause of how rich smelling it is. Absolutely is my favorite. Smells so smooth
@bigboyfinesse83102 жыл бұрын
@@gregoryfortner4385 yeah i was super, lucky just like i said lol. i dont know tbh, imo it just comes down to presonal preference and i really do prefer absolutely. yeah intensly is just too sickingly sweet for me. the rum and balsamic notes give the sweet chestnut a beautiful round-up in the absolutely flanker. i think it's a shame how underrated it generally is in comparison but more absolutely for us i guess lol. i heard it's discontinued though. i've been tempting to get a back-up bottle for weeks now.

Making available only certain fragrances in only certain countries is confusing to a lot of people. I mean, some of Dior's best offerings are not available here in the USA. Sure, maybe the demand is not as high as it is in France or the UK but it certainly is not zero. I would think they could at least make some of their fragrances online exclusives in that case. Dior seems to be overlooking a segment of their market here in the USA.

I appreciate how you in detailed ways explain some of your artform in your videos. As a professional artist in another field it gives me fun hints into some of the complexity of the medium! Even if I'm not going to ever go into the chemical science needed to really understand it, it is so enjoyable to get some sort of peek into an otherwise 'dark art'!

Hey man, just wanted to give you some props on good business. Just bought my first full bottles from your brand. In the note, I named a couple frags I was interested in buying next and I wanted to narrow down and “can you throw in a sample of XYZ?” Just got my package and not only did I get those samples I asked for, but also a half dozen others. A couple of them I never heard of (so possibly new releases coming soon?) Plus a free 10ML travel atomizer (of ozone which I really like). Plus a 30mg of Fake (which I’m not sure what it is, but it smells nice) A++ across the board and I will be buying more in the future. Keep it up!

As someone who has only recently, and by that, I mean over the last year (if that), has come into the fragrance environment as a small collector, find it disheartening that at the age of 58 the majority of great men's fragrances are tagged as being age ranged for 40s and under. Rarely do I ever hear of my decade being mentioned. So for me, it has a tendency to limit my purchasing choices, especially when it comes you your fragrances, Aaron, as I'm clueless as to what demographic age they are aimed at. More clarification in this area would be nice, plus a bit of an explanation as to why the older we get the fewer exciting fragrances there are for us 'mature' people.
