Love it, I'm guessing other manufacturers might make their own 4x4 crossover versions soon too. 2 things I dont like about it, net curtains instead of tinted windows and the fact the blinds pull down from the top of the windows instead of sliding up from the bottom to allow a degree of privacy without closing them completely.

Hi alan, With the Hymer 4wd bring your favorite camper with MB chassis 😉 which is your favorite for a family of 4 @ 3500kgs with 4 sleeping places and get an style beds at the rear. Don't be afraid to recommend bed over front of vehicle. I notice with a few I've watched, the kids could still go to bed leaving room underneath to sit at table? I do like the extra room in the integrated models, just keeping my options open. Cheers Chris

As there are four of you, you are going to need a bed over the cabin or living room depending on if the van is fully or semi integrated. There are some camper vans where you can sit under the bed from companies such as Globe Traveller, Karmann Mobil, Bresler and others, however I would suggest the kids went to sleep in the back to avoid this. I don't know which van to recommend, what you should do is to see what is available locally on the second hand market and make a decision from there!

Alan, did you know that there are 2 options for the spare tyre, one on the back door and one inside the garage. I like the one on the back door but it's only available with the 4WD option. It seems that the garage would be rather full, just with the spare tyre. Have you seen one inside the garage? What do you think?

Jeff, it has to go somewhere and I suppose the garage is the only place for it. Alternatively, it could go under the vehicle but getting that out is a job for two people.

My favourite is the Wingamm City Suite, which I think is a competitor for the Hymer MLT 570. City Suite has a great garage design for my purposes and the interior is beautiful to my eyes. However I'm sure I'd be extremely happy with an MLT 570 🙂

Of course the 4x4 is great. I had it on the MU7 and only used it once. For €12k though, you could pay for a few tows and buy a nice car to boot.

Do you mean incinerator? They are very expensive! Around EUR5k - and use a lot of gas. Are you sure you don't want to walk to dump your waste?
