Undyne The Undying the joke foremost relies on the multiple meanings of ‘miss.’ There’s ‘miss’, as in to not hit something, and ‘miss’, as in to be sad about not being around someone. The 1st line (“My ex-wife still misses me”) implies the 2nd definition of miss, but the next line (“but her aim is getting better”) takes it to mean the 1st definition. However this joke on its own is very lame, which is why the humor of the joke isn’t mainly in the 1st two lines, but in the third line (“You see it’s funny because marriage is terrible”). The 3rd line is much more contextual to the episode of Gravity Falls that this joke comes from, in which the joke is told by Stan to a couple that’s about to propose. The main humor is in the context of the joke & in Stan’s insensitiveness.
