I like it all in theory as a migraine sufferer but we didn’t get much info about how to implement your steps. No tips on how to increase Omega 3’s, where to get generic testing, etc. what exactly are detox genes? And on and on with examples of more info needed. This could’ve been a great wealth of info.

Hi there, this is Dr. Barrett! WOW, I had no idea that I was pushing the boundaries by talking about a functional medicine approach to headaches... Curious if any of you here have tried solutions for headaches other than meds?

Thank you Dr. Barrett, I would love to know more about the detox genes you spoke of. I am very interested in functional medicine. I take many supplements - one of which is GABA which one of my doctors said was important in the prevention of migraines. I have also done several rounds of IV infusions for migraines (but those were not helpful). I eat healthy, but do believe my body struggles with detoxing. Thank you.

Hi, I have tried chiropractors, homeopathy, cranial sacral therapy, taking lots of magnesium and diet changes, and I still get migraines.

Eliminate high histamine foods if you regularly eat them. See if you feel better. Also I would just stop all high glutamate foods altogether. Just that’s just my opinion

Is there a reason we never see or hear an audience? With no real information having been shared, this really feels more like an extended fear-mongering ad than an actual TED talk. I'm disappointed in this talk.
