A savory rice dish best served with Tomato Chutney
Ingredients:
2 cups of Nagiah's Superior Gold Basmati Rice
2 cups of Yellow Moong Dhal (mung) or Yellow Split Pea Dhal
1 stick of Cinnamon
1 tsp of Turmeric
Salt
Boiling Water
Oil
1 tsp of Mustard Seeds
1 tsp of Cumin / Jeera Seeds
1 Cinnamon Stick
3 to 4 Dried Red Chilies
1 Small sliced Onion
2/3 Bay leaves
1 tsp of Roasted Coriander / Dhania Powder
1 tsp of Cumin / Jeera Powder
Half a tsp of Turmeric
1 tsp of Crushed Garlic
Boiling Water
2 tbs of Butter
Coriander / Dhania
