Hello Doctor, I only had 3 mg/day for about 16 days or so of a product called Centrum by GSK. Very strong and unbearable symptoms and high heart rate I couldn't stand or walk properly and I felt severe pain in different parts of my body especially around my heart. Also my anxiety was through the roof I couldn't sleep or eat and I was very sensitive to light, I thought I was going to die with every passing hour. It stopped after cessation of the intake and 8 weeks later I hope I'm on the road to recovery after the "coasting" period. I'm astonished at how low a dose and time period that led to this. I visited a neurosurgeon an he doesn't believe this could have happened. I saw similar cases of people with 10 mg/day or 20 mg/day for a couple of months.

question: is restless leg syndrome a form of peripheral neuropathy? i think i have b6 toxicity, 200 mg pyridoxine HCL every day for about 4 months as an analgesic for multiple pain areas that manifested all over my body last summer. I had no toxicity symptoms when i took it, and stopped before PN symptoms could appear, but when i stopped is when i started feeling restless leg syndrome-type feelings (WHY?), especially while resting and after physically stressful events like fasting and exercise. I dont have any peripheral neuropathy pain, just tolerable RLS symptoms. 100 mg reduced the pain somewhat, 200 mg ended the pain permanently. Pain was severe enough that i was losing ability (im mid 30's) and needed to use my arms to stand out of chairs. I thought b6's pain reducing effect was temporary and that i had to keep taking it. I hope waiting 6 months reverses RLS symptoms.

@@김희수-h5f thanks for asking. All pain and all restless limb syndrome is gone. What i did: i stopped taking toxic "B6 pyridoxine," and instead took 200 mg of non toxic "B6 P5P" form (with vitamin B12) for almost a year. Recently, i stopped taking P5P and have discovered no pain and no restless limb syndrome. Important to know: The pain was all joint, muscle and tendon related. I had bad pain in a torn leg muscle, in my wrist tendons, knuckles on both hands, lower spine, both of my IT bands, and more. For these, P5P's pain relieving effects are just as good as pyridoxine.

B6 is a vitamin in foods, but usually isn't toxic in this form. There are also individuals that don't metabolize the vitamin correctly. Whatever the cause, B6 in high amounts in the blood can be toxic. It is very important that you find the cause...but often you will have to continue to take control of both your diagnosis and treatment. We are trying to make that easier through getting the information out there. If you would like additional FREE information we are doing a Challenge, The Neuropathy Secrets Masterclass this coming week: www.NeuropathySecrets.net/masterclass

Its added to a lot of food, almost any breakfast cereal has added B6 to it, as well as dairy, vitamin waters , energydrinks, electrolytes and fruit juices. Best way is to track your intake, cronometer is very good and free for this and you will see that it is very easy to overdose B6 if you dont read labels. Its already in plenty in a healthy diet as well, there is no need to have it added to every commercial food, natural B6 hardly ever causes trouble as your body recognises it better and you pee it out if its not needed. Its the artificial ones that get stored in your nerve ends and cause havoc there over time. But for some its also the natural ones, majority of people have no issue with natural B6 ever.

It's not severe enough to hinder me in any way, just weird and annoying. I never knew what was causing it, I tried some B-12 injections but they didn't help. Well... I only just found out that a medication that I'm taking causes deficiency of folate and B-6, no one warned me about that or suggested supplements. I have been taking a B-complex but it wasn't good enough. I just started on methylfolate and B6 P5P. Hopefully it helps, or I don't know what the solution is! By the way, I mentioned it to a G.P, who suggested it was a symptom of mental illness! So I don't want to involve them, Drs often make you worse anyway, in my experience.

@Siegeclan34 Жыл бұрын
Hello how are you doing now? Have you healed?
@nameofthegame9664 Жыл бұрын
The anxiety are probably due to a B1 deficiency. I would recommend a quite high dose of Benfothiamine 100-200mg three times a day. You can get a paradoxical response that actually worsens your symptoms but that’s a good thing. That means you are B1 deficient. Tingling and burning on the tongue can be both a B6 deficiency and a B6 toxicity. For me it went so far I developed a geographical tongue. It was constantly burning and felt tingly. For me it was B6 deficiency. If you’re going to supplement make sure you’re using B6 P5P which is the active form. If you use the inactive form commonly found in supplements it will actually compete with the active form in your body basically making your deficiency even worse increasing your symptoms.

I am wandering if you are trying to purposely mislead people? Is it better to let the doctors at the Spine and Pain clinics invasively puncture our spine with prednisone spinal injections whose anti inflammatory rate of success is 20 to 30% at best (info given by the doctors themselves)? At the pain and spine clinic they left me in pain for 3/4 of the entire year without treating me with anything except over the counter NSAIDS. Do you all know what is neuropathic pain? It is pain which feels like its in the bones and its there 24/7. It never goes away not even for a second and in my case it was at best a minimum of 5 to 6 on pain scale. I was diagnosed with neuropathy and I was taking a small dosage of B vitamins (5, 10, 20 mg max) and ran out at one time. The result was so much pain that I had to be given morphine at ER. Then I started taking a B complex dietary supplement and guess what? The pain went away almost completely. So what do you think Dr Brian Gibson should we do nothing and let the incompetent personnel at Pain and Spine ruin our lives for the sake of being controlled and manipulated or just simply take a B vitamins supplement and be pain free?
@NeuropathyDoctor Жыл бұрын
I am so sorry you had the experiences you had. I don't like spinal injections as I don't believe they are treating the cause, just the inflammation. B Vitamins are a blessing for many individuals and when done correctly are an amazing option. My big recommendation is to treat the cause, so testing to determine the need for vitamins is my first step. But just like you, many individuals benefit greatly from vitamin treatments. I use them ALL the time! Thanks for adding your testimonial here for people.

Okaaaay. I started taking b6 to help lower my BP -- nothing works -- and stave off headaches (this actually seems to help). I've been taking 200mg, with no neuropathy, but I found out today, I was taking inactive as opposed to active. However, everyone agrees in actual papers that 200 is fine, and possibly more while working with your doctor may be fine. Now you say 50mg may be too much. I don't just take anyone's word for anything. I look at actual studies. My health has sucked even before b6, but now I don't know what to do. (BP rising, rising...)

B6 overdose will cause higher bp. I hope you feel better now, but my high bloodpressure and no cause for it to be found brought me to B6 toxicity and together with all other symptoms and a perfect bloodscreening it couldnt be far from truth. I ditched all supplements and fortified foods and my bloodpressure is now mostly within range and my palpitations have gone down as well. As soon as I eat something with artificial B6 in it, it all comes back. I do not respond to natural B6 in food luckily. In my opinion added B6 and supplements containing B6 should be either banned or only be on prescription. Its scary stuff and the worst is yet to come since half the world eats fortified cereals and dairy daily and lurks on energy drinks like its tap water. I use cronometer now to monitor my vitamins and only supplement those that are too low on my weekly average. Feels much safer to me than to just take a random pill.
