He had tonsillitis and was told by a doctor to not perform and he did anyway, this was better than a lot of metal vocalists are live. I get this information from Misha's ask FM.

Tonsillitis?!!! That’s some really serious signs of poor health in the body. 😷 He better drink some ginger shots. But the performance was amazing 🥲 especially the song “The Bad Thing”.

They are so tight it is actually ridiculous. There are other bands in the genre who sound about this tight but spend most of their time staring at their instruments. The fact that these guys can keep up this level of playing while jumping around like this is so cool.
@Cen2ored8 жыл бұрын
Witness the power of the V-neck in action.
@xtazxvegasx8 жыл бұрын
I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but the level of clarity in the guitar playing between 3 guitarists is ridiculous. Most bands, especially during technical spots, tends to mesh together and sound like a jumbled mess. However, every note sounds flawless. Mad props for that and mad props to the rest of the guys for making their music sound so amazing live.
@usaflagraybans8 жыл бұрын
Part of that is that a lot of bands tend to use similar gear (same style of guitar/ amp) and tons of gain. With Periphery, I think they back off the gain and they use very different guitars from each other so each note has a bit of depth, especially when they're chugging on the same riff.
@xtazxvegasx8 жыл бұрын
That plays a factor. Having 3 guitarists that can actually play their material live helps a lot as well lol.
@SahlaHDP8 жыл бұрын
It's just the way they play ... Listen to the albums and u'll understand.
@xtazxvegasx8 жыл бұрын
What a band can do on an album doesn't necessarily mean much when you're talking about live performances. Some bands record music they can't perform live. Which is why I complimented them. Silas Neves
@SahlaHDP8 жыл бұрын
Well, anyone has his point of view ... On interviews, Misha explain the use of 3 guitars, because of their Progressive music. And I agree because, they are doing it well both on album and live too ...

i only wish the vocal melody at 32:51 was also on the full album version, not just the radio edit. when i first heard it i got really confused wondering where this melody came from since i've had the album from day one. Spencer screams both pre-choruses on the album, and sings both on the radio edit. Its the first time ive ever heard of a radio edit containing material not on the full album version of the same song. personally, i would love a full version that has him screaming the first time, and singing over the screaming the second time (like this concert but he can't sing and scream at the same time...) i will continue to hope they decide to release it at some point.

I don't know why people are bitching about the vocals, they sound pretty fucking good to me. It has to be difficult to do the cookie monster shit and still be able to sing clean. Then to be sick on top of that?

+beebala3 Amorphis does that, and perfectly as well. Don't get this shit, ah well.
@bendiksteffensen61169 жыл бұрын
+EyesofNeurosis Thing is that spencer has a kinda shitty technique for the higher notes that causes strain on his voice and tires him out. Even though it reduces him live it sounds cool in studio.
@frantic2998 жыл бұрын
