Then, as well as today, evil dangerous governmental regimes exist. You deal with these regimes as you must according to your own country's best interests. Aside from this, the Russian people, as a whole, are not evil. The people of China are not like the evil communist government that oppresses them, etc.. An Iranian lady who cuts my hair, she travels to Iran once every year to see her relatives and to have dental work done. She tells me how much the vast majority of the Iranian people love and admire the United States. How much of their personal lifestyles have to be lived in secrecy. The conditions are horribly oppressive. Their government leaders are evil. The small percentage of their population that is evil have all the guns thus ALL the power and control over the people. Lesson....never ever allow the government to take away the ability to defend yourself. The 2nd amendment is so incredibly important it's number two out of all of them.
