'PERIYAVAA' series will provide an insight into the life of KANCHI MAHAN, HIS Upadesams, HIS untiring efforts to reinstate SANATHANA DHARMA, VEDA SAMRAKHANAM and also highlight HIS views on varied subjects including art & culture, science, politics and how a human being should conduct himself in his day to day life!
The highlight of this Series is almost all the artistes are facing the camera for the first time!
The series will focus on the seer who is believed to be the REINCARNATION OF LORD PARAMASIVAN himself, having descended on the Earth to propagate Sanathana Dharma and lead humanity to the path of righteousness.
The prime aim of the Series will be to highlight the purpose of HIS being on this Universe and what HE lived for, rather than capturing the miracles attributed to HIM.
The series is to be totally funded by the Rasikas with their contributions
This is, therefore, an earnest appeal to all the Devotees of Maha Periyavaa to come forward and contribute ‘Yatha Shakthi’ and ensure that the lofty ideals fructify.

The choice of actor as Mahaperiyava is just superb. He is doing his best in bringing the great Swamigal before us. Only he speaks little slowly unlike Mahaperiyava who used to speak quite fast during his discourses. A second observation is that the title song is too long taking almost 30% of the episode time. It can be cut. Everyday the full title song may not be needed. Kindly take it positively. Otherwise the serial is superfine in contents ,action and direction. I am eagerly waiting for every episode. A lot of you have complaints about the introduction being long and the content being short. It’s the duty of the director to show the artists and technicians who have participated. There are so many new people who watch this too. You can also fast forward the first few minutes. Having said that, I believe the 15 minute content is poignant and worth watching. The effect of the show lasts a long time. It’s a huge task which BC has undertaken in projecting the right messages of Mahaperiyava. He is doing it in his own fantastic manner. Moreover, please remember that he is doing this only with the donated funds. No major corporation is supporting him. So encourage and enjoy every moment of every episode. It’s such a boon that he is able to have Dushyant Sridhar participate and part his knowledge on the show. God bless all. 😊

The content be it 10-15min is presented so succinctly and meaningfully that one must utilize the rest of the time to reminisce and apply what is taught. Also one more thing... Mahaperiyava kooda kann la problem na kannadi potundaar. Vishnu Sahasranamam mattum sollalai. This is proof that proper medical treatment cannot be ignored. Chanting slokas gives mental peace - that's what charaka also probably meant. He has prescribed several concoctions for various diseases and has performed several surgeries. Without understanding that we cant just like that randomly say stuff, thereby bringing down rather negating India's early achievements in the fields of medicine and surgery. First of all, pranams on taking up such an important, almost impossible task of covering the mahAtmyam of a mahAtmA such as Maha Periyavaa. All the actors have done splendidly, especially the person acting as the mahAn Himself. Just want to bring something to your attention - the phrase in samskrutam is "parOpakArArtham idam shareeram' as opposed to 'parOparakam idam shareeram' as mentioned in the episode. Adding 'artham' at the end of the word translates to 'for the purpose of'. Here it means, for the purpose of others' benefit, denoting selfless services. Similarly, bhOjanArtham means for the purpose of eating, and so on. Hope this clarifies. Thank you
