Perkins 4-108: Lift Pump

Pumping the thumb-lever to test the mechanical lift pump.
I detached the top of the fuel filter return line to verify fuel flow. There were some bubbles left over from changing the fuel line.

Doesn't that mean that your fuel pump is not good? Sucking air from within? Fuel should go out only, not in and out right?
