District judges have 0 chance of promoting to higher judiciary. Govt wanted to bring NJAC but what happened? Judges refused and still use corrupt collegium system. Don't blame govt for everything

@Anna Lara If your basic fundamentals of CPC Crpc IPC IEA Indian Constitution is clear + good memory about Bare Act name of Sections and content or vice versa. When you start doing preparation for Prelims at that time plz also prepare for Mains as well. Read landmark/Constitution bench judgments along with uptodate knowledge. Plz also exercise to write in descriptive manner, as it is require in Mains. One Female girls of 2014 Enrolment attempt five times for judiciary in West Bengal, Assam, Tripura Judiciary. She even reached upto Viva but unfortunately not selected. Last year in 6th attempt she was selected in Assam Judiciary. She takes too much times because she was disappointed and become hopeless in between several times, hence her consistency disrupts. I don't know whether this information helps you or not. But as this female who today is just completed her Induction training conducted by Assam Judicial Academy. Best wishes to you and to all person who believe in hardwork and consistence. Judge work is very conservative ...At age of 45+ you'll become district judge ,but you talk about IAS or IPS officers they are the ultimate persons who are responsible for the development and changes in the country.As an IAS officer you get much respect and prestige than an Judge ....As a judge you can bring smile of any person by providing them justice but that can only be done by supreme court judges and not all judges get that opportunities but as an IAS officer you go to the field listen the problem and provide instant solution and change any person life in few minutes ...in civil services you get high diversity than any other job.

The irony is they don't need any experience in law practice. If you pass the written test that's enough, young aspirants are selected like clerk jobs. It's like allowing to perform open heart surgery immediately on completing MBBS course.

This is not true , just like executive magistrate there are judicial magistrate and anytime judge has more power, even the entry level judge get more salary than ias. We need to understand that there is A balance of power among the three pillars of democracy we need to understand no ias is powerful than the law . Judge developmental work nahi karta jo DM karta hai or na hi judge public ke beech me ghumkar apni power dikhata hai jaise DM karta hai or encroachment remove karne ke liye DM ke pas power hai or bekabu hoti public par lathi charge, firing, section 144, district me holiday declaration, offices, schools, colleges, different institutions ka inspection DM karta hai. DM on the spot decision le sakta hai. Public me DM ka jyada dar hota hai. Respect Judge ki shayad jyada hoti hai. But I will prefer DM though an IAS officer stay as DM only for 4-6 years max but Judge always stays a Judge and gets more authority with promotion. IAS officer may be transferred to a department where he won't have any power on people like Jal Board, Electricity Board, Education Boards, etc.
