Perks of hearing loss: Being able to "turn my ears off!"

I work as a letter carrier. I was delivering mail and a customer was upset and confronted me on the sidewalk. I don't wear my hearing aid so I read lips and make do. I enjoyed the fact that I could remain calm while she was shouting and pointing at me with her complaint. I calmly said to her, please call my supervisor and they will be happy to deal with you. In those kind of moments I am grateful of being hard of hearing.

This would help outside for unaware loud groups of friends in public and loud phone users who seat behind me on the buss. Super cool.

great it help me sleep with out hearing aid on
