Loved the visual. Consider using colored chalk for the different flowers for an even prettier visual. I'm a novice when it comes to planting, i appreciate the information.

Glad to find this, thank you. Since planting my apple tree the fruits have never looked healthy. Will definitely get on with the companion planting imminently! 👌

Hope it helps you! Thanks for watching! Be sure to pick up fallen fruit as well to break the coddling moth life cycling throughout the season, and set out traps too!

Great no-nonsense explainer! I’m a little scared to plant mint though 😅

Thanks! You can swap it out if you think it’ll go bonkers in your growing space. 🖤

@AxeAndRootHomestead - Two quick questions: 1) What does this look like planted? How do you mow around it without potentially impacting your support plants? 2) Do you have any concerns about mint going invasive in the area?

Hi! Thanks for watching! You can see the guilds planted in several of my other orchard related videos. Each season, I mark a square-ish shape with a few t-posts and twine to indicate where my husband should and shouldn’t mow. As for the mint, this area is heavy clay so the mint doesn’t spread. I wouldn’t plant it in my annual vegetable garden, however, where the soil is soft and more nutrient dense. It would go crazy 😊

Makes sense to me 👍

Other than the mint, this seems to make sense. Mint likes to take over everything.

Apart for eucalyptus trees, they like to be by themselves🤣

This video is so much informative and painful at the same time 😂 Informative because duh, and painful because of the chalk sound.
