@wits2014 this was a study in 3D it was just a experiment to show how the cam could be adjusted easily instead of a fixed crank like in the other ZPF video it is supposed to attract and repel the magnets pushing the piston. 3 pistons are providing torque and one is breaking the field . there was even some consideration about adding a small pulsed electromagnet to disrupt the attraction at the right point a small generator driven of the main shaft would provide the power. we never built it.

The problem with rotary motion magnet motors is geometry. The force required to pull 2 magnets apart equals the force that pulled them together. Net output would be 0, MINUS friction between components. Some other "free" force must be integrated into the design, like gravity. Best designs I've seen use magnetism to overcome gravity + some small amount of work.

@TheDallasDragon Lightwave 3d is the program, but yes works great in there, you need a program to cancelate the magnetic field properly maybe solid works .this animation was just to figure out the parts, sizes a clearance.

What is the function of the reciprocating part? I can see it in a combustion engine to transform the linear motion of the piston in rotation of the cranckshaft, but in an electric? The electric motor already produces rotational motion (and torque and so on), I can see the advantage of having it, but anyway...

Great! How can I calculate the distance an diameter ratio to balance the magnets? I will reproduce at real! Thanks

Magnetic motors work if arranged properly. They work from polarized magnetic force "stored" in their mass. Take a candy cane striped cylinder like at a barber shop. There are red lines and blue lines. Place positive magnet ends pointing out on the red and negative on the blue. Place this into a hollow drum close where only straight lined positive mag lines are pointing inwards towards candy cane mags. The inner cylinder will spinn at about 10,000 rpms with strong mags. A classic design.

@lirik4oo.. No sorry to correct you, But only DC motors use permanent magnets,AC motors and some DC use electromagnets

Great concept, I think the time for innovations in the magnetic field, no pun intended, are becoming more and more realistic. I would like to see this taken a few steps further and not limit the design by showing a structural casing for the engine i.e. would having more pistons and/or increasing the length of the low friction slides optimize the power output since the energy needed comes from practically an unlimited supply?
@joshuabrown964311 жыл бұрын
I suspect that this motor will find equilibrium in real life, but it is a novel approach and a fairly plausible idea. I like your work, good job.

@kaballeroet yes you can build in Solidworks and I would recommend that you should use it instead of lightwave, 3D because it would give you more information about stress and other important information, if you have the right plugins for Solidworks.. but it was done with lightwave 3D cheers :P
@zeropointfuel14 жыл бұрын
@8900rall Not sure if it will work! that was the point of the 3d simulation is to help answer that question this is the second design the first was to complex this should be easer to build and the first one.The cams are adjustable unlike the first one

Assuming this works, wouldn't the engine's material (metal etc) wear out sooner or later? This'd be useful, not trying to point out anything serious here.

@GHOSTTOYS no sorry there not ,only AC induction type motors have no magnets Almos all DC motors do have magnets and speakers have magnets
@denisliossi12 жыл бұрын
Well, if it banks on a constant change of polarity of (what would be) the stator, the single question for me is if the energy produced by the rotor is enough to mechanically do this. I haven´t tested it yet but my feeling is it doesn´t challenge the thermodynamics phenomena. Will take a look at the website
@dubstepTonme13 жыл бұрын
@TheJoaquimd The reciprocating parts work in unison with each other, as they also house magnets of different polarities. This way they can use a combination of attraction and repulsion from the reciprocating motion to create a synchronous drive. If the shaft is common, you can increase the number of for greater output and of torque. Brilliant design
@zeropointfuel13 жыл бұрын
a small electromagnetic pulse at the right moment may over come the sticking point and provide a added push but that has not been tested this was only a simulation to predict the moment of the parts good luck.

@TheJoaquimd the flywheel has 8 N and S magnets the gear is 1 to 4 the small piston is attracted by the magnet as it moves past each one of the pistons they are attracted in sequence as it moves the flywheel the last 2 pistons are being attracted the first piston is pushing against the next magnet as the piston goes up the belt move forward and the cycle is repeated but the sticking point is between the attraction point when its closest tho the piston it must overcome that point to work

@nikojnemavakvo no sorry this is a motion simulation I designed it to study how it may be possible to create a "MOM" magnet only motor, there is one sticking point in the design that creates to much drag to overcome, a pulsed electromagnet may fix the issue but I have too many projects to build this right now, the Cartmotor V5 is almost there and it has allot more control, and the Boxmotor is on the way.

The power you need to move the cam shaft is equal to the power you get from shaft.As a result you get...dead nature.The animation is good and provocating.Keep on trying

interesting ,,build it and get a reading on torch output....these ideas often seem very reasonable but once built I find very weak on working output ,,I still think the magnetic style is the way to go though,just a matter of what combination -Many thanks for your ideas ,,

@TheBudhistpunk nice!! that's is a good idea if it neutralizes the field at the strongest point of attraction it would only have to pulse to break the attraction at that point the other 2 pistons are in full attraction at that point and one is trying to break away for the attraction of the wheel good point .

@darkmak3r What i was thinking while watching this video is... he could put the "piston-like" magnets in a just little less radius... if in this configuration is at 80º... he could move it to 75º or something (test's should be made)... so not just make the center to move at a constant speed... but to make it accelerate slowly... the friction will make its work trying to stop it, but with the right configuration... it could accelerate until the friction is harder and then stop at high RPM's! =)

@drumajor22621 No.. the magnets in DC motors don't get week from being exposed the electromagnetic fields generated by the electromagnets, a magnetic field is the same no matter how its created :) some people say only good for 20 years but if that is true, Old Automobiles DC motors like blowers,wipers,power windows,fuel pumps and power door locks wouldn't work in old cars ... :)

we are working with Induction generators and pulse motors right now check out our website and KZbin channel for more info. if you want more information on this permanent magnet motor do search on Maxforce motor maybe that will help understand this concept (oh one other thing we don't charge for our information it is all open source) we are trying to find solutions not scam money so we alone can control it that is just plain wrong. no offence not aimed at you.
