When my husband and I dated. He never tried sleeping with me because he had a full roster of ladies at his beck and call. To get rid of them without asking him to I started buying him small items like CDs, worked my way into cologne, and then sneakers and so on. He’d be so impressed that I was thoughtful enough to think of him outside of dating. I paid for dates too, not often, but he’d let me pick up the small things. He got rid of all those women. In two years we were married. Kevin’s right, Ladies. They can tell when you are a selfish lover.

Getting and giving gifts was never that important to me (not really my love language or my husbands) our way of showing we valued and loved each other when dating was choosing specific experiences that were very personal instead of many random dinners, gifts etc. For example he took me to a formal ball in my city.. we had fun and took dance lessons ahead of it as part of the experience. I would pack picnics for us and give him books with inscriptions so we could read outside together and discuss. Intellect and critical thinking is something we both prioritize so a reading date fit. I also started helping with aspects of his real estate business.. not daily.. but if my professional skills could be of use. Just a gentle and consistent caring of each other made it natural to get married. I also had my career and individual hobbies and pursuits. it’s been an honour and a joy.

@@TURBOBEATZZZ a concubine is defined as ," a woman who lives with a man but has lower status than his wife or wives (a mistress). In this sense, I stand corrected. The vast majority of black females are not raised with an overstanding of the traditional role as a wife and mother. I , myself, learned by studying my Great grandparents' relationship. So, your comment has much truth. Where i disagree is generally stating BW do not possess the character or core competencies to become a wife. I strongly believe differently. I am proudly and humbly married to a black God/man. I had to learn and earn the title of Mrs. McCleveland and it wasn't overnight. With my God/man's instructions and fatherly love, along with my total devotion and respect, did I get there. I say this because there are black women who are willing to put that effort in but don't know better. They need guidance. That is why I do respect Mr. Samuels. He knows strong black fathers weren't in the house to show us daughters and black mothers dropped the ball . I have watched my aunt and my cousin go all in my whole life. Even went as far as buying vehicles and paying all the bills and building up the man. They have taken on a masculine role. Yes they have both been married but it’s only because they proposed or came up with the idea. Women do these things because they want a man to marry them. I believe there needs to be balance. You can go all in without going all in. It’s okay to reciprocate the energy but it should never be one sided. Only go all in when the person is going all in for you. Don’t do no more or no less. In the meantime do not sleep with every guy that you meet. Only sleep with ppl who are SHOWING you that they want something with you. Don’t get so desperate for a spouse that you become the hunter.. I booked reservations for dinner, got tix to an open mic event and scheduled uber from/to his house so he didnt have to drive; we started the nite with happy hour. You can know how expensive kids are without knowing how much daycare costs. Not everyone puts their kids in daycare. I think women would definitely know how much kids cost, 80% of kids in single parent homes headed by their mother.

@@myisglim7801 Because most of those women who don't know daycare cost either are stay at home mother or have family members to take care of the kid. And not to many women have those opportunities, specially this woman. A woman and man should know at least the cost of daycare. That why he asked that question.
