This is wild to see, this is the mall I grew up going to and have been following the demise of it over the past many years as it's been closing. The stores inside were just getting more empty and they couldn't manage it anymore. That was where the gamestop was.

Let's go to the mall. Words that are extinct. They all had great arcades

I was there in the late 80's during the heyday of American malls. It was full of people and activity and was a very fun day. Kind of sad that Spring Hill is yet another formerly vibrant mall that went into decline after 2010 and finally was forced to close.

I just found out about this and was crushed! Use to come here a lot in the 90s/00s as a kid right before its downfall. I use to love getting free samples of chicken teriyaki and watching the birds fly around in the food court. And they had a kiddie play area I could run around in. End of an era

I am not surprised the mall is closing since alot of stores closed. I used to get my coffee from the mall and would eat at mcdonalds in the food court fun times! it is sad to see this mall closing !

I wish I had gotten to see this mall in its heyday- only began to care as it was going downhill. I went there a lot with friends during the lockdown, and I remember participating in the holiday parades in the mid 2010s as a kid.

I used to like coming out here in the mid 1980's when I was in me early 20's, wasn't much out here back then, was like a drive in the country. One thing that hurt this place was being close to two low income Ghetto's, Carpentersville and Elgin.

wtf carpentersville is not a ghetto😭

The music is a bit too loud, to the point of being annoying.
